Biggest beer pet peeves

Dirty beer lines.
Sub par craft beers taking up shelf space in the "craft beer section" at my local stores (not to single anyone out so I will name two, Foolproof and Baxter).

 

Ein radler, bitte....

 

haha, and throw in the fact that their bottle limits for those 25oz bad boys are insane! easy way to cause liver failure...

 

Lack of coherent bottle dating and other important issues have been mentioned, but I need to talk about annoying labels and marketing schticks.

I know Stone makes great beer, but I won't buy any Arrogant Bastard or Old Guardian because the messages on the bottles piss me off. There's a brewery in my province that lost my personal vote after putting a Chuck Norris joke on the label.

I guess I have a revulsion to people trying to be cute and quirky.

On a metal board I post on, obviously drunken posting used to win you a derogatory custom rank, to be enjoyed and displayed for the rest of your e-life. As many drunken posts as I have made on that board, my stubborn OCD proofreading always saved me from such ignominy.

OT: yeah, lack of packaging dates.

Old beer on the shelf at the store. And that's just the ones with dates...who knows how old the undated beer is.

Like many others, beer with no date is my biggest pet peeve. And it should be the bottled date, NOT the "best by" date.

 

I am not hip to the Kansas beer scene, but this is an epidemic in Metro Detroit. We have new breweries opening daily it seems.

 

Beer snobs. I don't mean people who like a great beer, I mean people who make a THING out of it. Keep it casual and fun. If you want to be crazy serious, go drink some damn wine.

 

The San Fernando Valley getting beer literally weeks behind (if ever) the rest of the city of LA.

 

That doesn't leave me hopeful for beer availability or freshness south of Fresno in Visalia

 

Stores that update their menus on beermenus and yet don't have the beer listed, especially when it's listed at the top as "featured." Then they update it again the next week and it's still listed. Annoying.
