Yuengling, because i went to high school while living in Pennsylvania.
Zombie Dust made me realize years ago that I need to get into this craft beer scene that I really had no idea existed.

Guinness made me realize I could actually like beer not for the alcohol but for the taste. A whole new world.

Also enjoy by. All I had before this was torpedo, regular stone ipa, and Ruination 1, and man, I had no idea beer could be this good. I still chase down every release to recapture that nostalgia, and honestly still have not had a better dipa

Guinness and Hoegaarden will always remind me my travels throughout Europe. And Pilsner Urquell will always remind me of Prague. Oh and of course Genny Cream will bring me back to College.

Theobroma. The first craft my dad and I reviewed together, and the one I think got him into drinking good beer.

Dogfish Head Festina Peche. It was the first beer that I loved that was truly outside the box.

Heileman's Special Export. My grandpa would give it to me when I was in grade school. When my parents protested he would tell them to shut the hell up. I eventually named my son after him. I think I will pick some up soon. Thanks BA!!

Guinness - 1st non big beer I ever tried at age 18 or so.

Duvel and Chimay - some if the first beers I had that were on the level (or higher) of much of the good craft beer of today. Also age 18 kr 19. 1987/88

    Bass/newcastle/harp. Similar reasons as Guinness.

Old Rasputin. The first RIS I had if memory serves.

Nugget Nectar, I just remembered it being one of my first crafts and remember the kid who gave it to me telling me it was dank.

Guinness. Reminds me of my trips to Ireland (even though it doesn't taste good here) and celebration of our family roots. I don't drink it year round, but it sure stirs something in me around St Paddys.

When I think of Rolling Rock I think of my late Uncle Ken; he seemed to always have a case of RR pony bottles in his garage. I still remember sneaking some of those when I was 14 or 15 when I would go over and help him with chores around the house in the summer.
I can't stand the taste of it anymore, it's not the same beer.

Red Hook ESB. I don't drink it anymore but it was once a favorite. Had an incredibly memorable day visiting their original brewery in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. It still stands out as easily my best brewery experience.

I'll always have fondness for Free State Brewing Copperhead Pale Ale as well, a staple through Law school.
Guinness will long remind me of several trips to Ireland and many great times in pubs.

Lucky Lager. My Dad used to drink the crap out of it and it had those cool concentration puzzles. When I was a kid, I would open the beers, read the puzzles and recap them. All my dad's beers would be flat.

It's funny how a lot of posts on this thread are about AALs. As much I enjoy craft, I have not had that special emotional attachment to one specific beer partly because there are just too many of them and I keep buying and trying different ones and partly because I might be past the age where I am susceptible to making strong emotional connections with inanimate objects.

Olde English HG - was my poison of choice in high school
PBR - my college beer which I used to drink underage in dive bars by the pitcher
Sierra Nevada - my gateway to craft and always reminds me of back home in CA
Euro Pale Lagers - the style of choice of my father (to this day)
Milwaukee's Best - got me through grad school

1st EDIT: As runner's up, I would also add Hamm's, High Life, Olympia - all remind of different dive bars, with different people, in different parts of my life.

2nd EDIT: Pilsner Urquell (how could I forget), still to this day I consider this my favorite beer, and reminds me of drinking it by the gallon in smokey, divey, Eastern European basement bars

    Love reading these!

Sly Fox: Besides being a beer I am proud to say is brewed around the corner from me, my best friend and I moved into our first college house in the Summer of '12. It was a June night, I was single, and we wanted to celebrate with something "fancy". So we got a variety pack of Sly Fox because it was the cheapest non-macro type. Despite hating most of the beers in there because they "tasted like Christmas trees" (IPAs). We had a good time with a small party, just reminds me of a really cool time.

Sierra Nevada: In the same night as previous story, they were doing a tasting at the beer store..my actual first craft beer. Still carry the freebie keychain bottle opener to this day.

Yuengling: A staple of every family gathering here in PA..just brings good memories of family times.

Hi-Res, Hoptimum, Seeking Alpha. They are only out a few months a year, so I feel lonely and abandoned when they aren't available.

Spaten, Paulaner, Lowenbrau Special, Grolsch, Orangeboom, Carlsberg Elephant, etc. My older brother and I thought these were the only good beers we could get back in the mid-70s. We would take a few bottles and a couple joints down to the San Lorenzo river in the Santa Cruz Mountains and hike around or just hang out.
