I often expect that if I go to the Taco Shack & order a Taco Extra, I'm going to get a pork chop. Yeeaaaaaaaaaaah. That's essentially the argument. Brilliant.

And this has zero to do with style.

No, you created a straw man in order to attack cavedave's credibility, ignoring the actual topic.

What?! Next thing you'll be telling us is you haven't tasted it either  .

Think what you want. Quoting someone's own words isn't really a strawman.

Or- you did the same by entirely ignoring my second post.

Either way you want it, pumpkin.

And, speaking of strawmen... well done.

Haha the last taco I had was at El Azteca in Poughkeepsie and it had no label. If you want an actual analogy to the situation discussed here, I now should go on Taco Advocate and demand that labels be put on tacos that tell me exactly what is in it.

Of course, I could use a reference, say something crazy like asking the chef, or trying to read on the menu its description. Of course your point is that doing this sort of research should be unnecessary. Right? All this info needs to be on a label. Right?

You may have noticed the more arguing you do against the easy solution to everything, a bit of reading, the more obvious it becomes that is what should be done. Hasn't that even become the slightest bit clear to you?

So then you have tasted it? Of course you haven't, or else you would have seen the label. You might want to look up the meaning of strawman at some point.

No need to, that isn't the discussion. No one has contested wether a beer labeled as a "Barley Ryne" aged in Bourbon Barrels, with no indication on the label of wild yeast on the label, is aggressively sour.

    Hence, truth in labeling.

Hence, the idiocy of your claim that everyone should do as much research as YOU did before buying a beer.

But hey, since YOU did that much research, everyone else should as well, right?

You're great at using rhetorical questions, evading the actual debate, and condescending anyone who disagrees.

Addressing the real issue with a bottle labeled as such containing a very sour beer... not so much.

But hey, keep on keepin' on, and enjoy those BCBSs!

Interestingly enough, the label for that beer clearly states that Brettanomyces is used.

    Imagine that.

The website mentions it but not the label.

So answer the question: shouldn't the information that a beer is sour be on the label?

It's an easy question with an easy answer.

I don't expect you to be able to get there, however.
