You responded to a post where I said: imagine if people had the empathy to understand that people hold different opinions and that's ok, with (and I'm paraphrasing):
What if people were allowed to have opinions, man?

And then you read a sentence and then read the same sentence rephrased with the same meaning, and felt the need to make an oblique claim that the change meant...something...

So I'll just repeat myself: most people (myself included) could stand to empathize when conducting themselves on internet forums where, yes, they are likely to find people offering opinions different than their own.

    Anyway, cheers yourself.

edited again to remove unnecessary rudeness.

This happened with my wife, too. The CC she has in her account didnt work the 3 times she tried. She called and got my card # to use (debit) and it worked. Hopefully there wont be issues with her getting bottles since my name is on the card and not hers?

I'm here to talk about beer and all things involved. I like beer, and people who share the same likeness...if proving points here is a thing, I'm out.

I hope at least one sale goes through for you and they don't cancel all your orders thinking you are trying to get more than the allotment.

Doesn't his answer still apply? :grinning:

Used Chrome with only a minor hiccup of getting kicked out of my cart once. In and out in 5 min.

    Hi All,
Wanted to chime in real quick to discuss the Veritas 017 onsale. We had a great online turnout for the onsale, a bit too much, and that caused an internal glitch... Weird right? Or par for the course? This caused a few people to get double and a few triple charged for their order. Why this happened, we're still trying to determine. I've personally been on the phone with Nexternal all day trying to determine how this happened and what are they going to do to guarantee that it doesn't happen again.

The good(?) news is these were just authorizations. We haven't and will not run any credit cards until the false authorizations drop off, anywhere from 48 to 72 hours depending on your bank. We've deleted all duplicate orders, so there is no chance any of the extra ones will be cleared. We do sincerely apologize for any issues that having anyone's funds tied up may have caused, that's not cool and we are working diligently to make sure this never happens again.

If you ordered and didn't get a confirmation email, be on the lookout for one.

Any other questions and/or concerns, feel free to email me directly Adam.Martinez (a) LostAbbey.com.

Again, apologies to anyone who had any issues this afternoon. We have two more planned releases this year, and we'll be (and our online vendor) better prepared for those than we were with this one.

    Cheers,

Not everyone balls out of control and doesn't mind seeing multiple charges for $177.12 coming out of their accounts. What do you do for a living? Must be nice...

They definitely are out of my account as both my credit cards and debit card show a reduction in current balance.

Had 4 bottles in cart at noon, checked out, errorEd out but still got charged and had an order number in my LA account online. Just checked now, 11 hrs later and no charge, order removed but still had 4 bottles in cart. Checked out again and got my confirmation email. LOL.

That is not "definitely" so, when money gets authorized to be taken from your account, that money gets put on hold (that's the point of the authorization, they have to determine that you actually have it). You can't tell the difference between an authorization and actual charge by looking at your available balance.

If you're driving down from LA to Lost Abbey, then The Bruery is right on your way (depending on what route you take)

I have exactly $533 in my checking account and with three charges of $177 I have no money available. I can not eat today until they correct it. Taco Bell for lunch? Nope! I may die of starvation or be forced to drink beer for nutrition to get through the work day. Again, I wish I had your money...
