Don't judge me but a keg of bcbs went down fast at my house :flushed:

I thought Launch Pad's BA Soyuz was pretty good. I had the regular Soyuz first and thought it was an alright Imp Stout. But the Law's barrel really brought that beer up several notches.
Despite the name and the board graphics they have for the beer, they don't actually classify it as a RIS, nor does it taste like one.

Clearly you haven't met me :flushed:
@tylerstubs , @DenverBeerDrinker , and @hunninghake could confirm that wouldn't be much of an issue for me. ha

But...kinda gravitating towards an Elevated keg instead

No. It's just got tons of coffee. I kinda wish it had some barrel aging to lessen that coffee blast but I still loved it.

Had Medianoche up at Weldwerks yesterday. I thought it was very good, but I don't think it's worlds better than The Commodore from Diebolt, which isn't getting any hype at all. Better mouthfeel, but that seemed to be about it, although I would have to try them side by side to know for sure.

Definitely worth the drive to try their beers up there. I'm looking forward to following their future growth.

Had the Coffee Medianoche yesterday and thought it was excellent! Hoping to try the coconut at some point here soon...was up in Greeley last weekend and got to try the regular Medianoche, which I really enjoyed, but the variances might be where this beer truly shines

Yeah, we're a bunch of thirsty bastards  Pretty sure we could float that thing over the course of a holiday weekend; but man, would there be some greasy recovery brunches in that mix.

Elevated gets my vote and my liver 2nds the motion!

Maybe I'll have to try it another time...We were sitting outside and it was getting kind of chilly, so it never really warmed at all, which might have been of a factor in my "meh" review.

Had a feeling that was going to happen. In the past I've done the whole Behemoth picking on the little guy rant. But Diebolt said it themselves, Ballast Point TM'd it. So, there's no real discussion. And it sounds like BP is being fairly relaxed about it.

Aside from all that, I need to pick up another bottle of Commodore before they disappear, I have friends coming in June I'd like to share it with.

On another note: Elevation Oil Man '15 : anyone still see it anywhere? I saw Oil Man at Grapevine, but I think the label said it was '14, and I'd much rather try to get '15 since the word is that they spruced it up some from previous years.

When I checked the Oil Man bottles a week ago they were 2015 bottles. It's possible I am wrong.

It's possible you are both right. The 2015 are in the display and the 2014 are in the cooler.

So @vitaminvert and I tried a BA Commodore last night. It was pretty good, but I was a touch disappointed. However, I am going to go secure some more Finkle and Garf BBA Imperial Stout this weekend- so yay!

Was surprised to see more 4-packs of F&G BBA in the cooler next to the other F&G 6-packs at Hazel's yesterday. Last time I was there, I only saw a few singles ($3.95 per) on the shelf by the other BBA stouts.

I'm wondering if they released a second batch? I know they had more in the works last time I stopped into the brewery.

Opened one last night and I got a bit more heat, a less balanced barrel presence than I remembered from my other forays. I could be crazy, or my pallet was wrecked from all the S26 Mosaic I drank...

If it's a newer batch I'd bet another month in the can would smooth that out nicely.

Anywhere else than Hazel's (preferably closer to downtown) that's seen F&G BBA Stout?

I completely missed out on the last batch of F&G BBA. Asked about it at a couple of stores in Denver and neither of them knew anything about it. Would love to try and score some cans this time around.

Hazels sold their last on Friday night I was told when I went in there yesterday. I haven't seen it anywhere in Denver.

I picked some up at mondo vino yesterday- I believe they still had 3-4 4 packs on the shelf, too
