When you're sitting down for a couple beers and having two different ones do you rinse your glass between beers? Usually if I'm drinking beers of the same style I just pour the new beer, but if switching between a stout and an IPA I'll rinse the glass and air dry it before pouring the next beer. Or do you use a new glass completely and wash and dry the other?

If I'm by myself I'll always rinse. If I'm drinking socially I'm typically thinking about it like that unless it's a bottle share or whatever you want to call it

Different beer gets fresh clean and dry glass.

OCD here. Rinse, mild soap, rinse and rub, shake, and air dry. Unless it's the exact same beer, then just pour and enjoy.

I typically rinse my glass between all beers. It tends to get a bit annyoing at shares but hey its all about the proper experience and taste right? Enjoy!

If I'm being casual, which is most often :
rinse - yes, dry - no. Just a good shake.

If drinking casually , basically it's a waste of time , a trace of existing beer isn't going to overwhelm a full glass of another; most times you wouldn't notice the difference. A massively different or flavoured beer is a different matter.

Same here. Have to justify having all of those glasses right?

Same style, I just pour. Different style, I rinse first.

I sincerely disbelieve that my palate is incapable of detecting a few parts-per-million of stout in the following IPA. I seldom to never rinse. I like the spirit of the act, but otherwise find it pointless.

    Rinse between different beers?

Of course, unless you like your Stouts tasting strangely fruity like the IPA you just had.

Always at least rinse, might wash with soap or switch glasses if the first beer was a drainpour. I'm guilty of using a glass several days in a row before throwing it in the dishwasher and grabbing another, mostly since I don't want to wear off the printing on it.

Same beer, same glass once. New beer , new glass. Rinsing is fine if there aren't more glasses.

I thought this was going to be a question about whether or not I rinse my glass when they come out of the cupboard like a lot of bars do with that water shooter upper thing. Does anyone do that at home?
