    Same beer, same glass
    Different beer, new glass
    Never just rinse

I will have 2 glasses going. Once I drink one I rinse and let dry and grab another glass. I will just rotate with these 2 for a while

If I'm by myself or with my wife, I'll always give it a quick rinse. At a share switching between styles, definitely rinse. If I'm out on someone's back patio and I'm a few deep moving from IPA to IPA...fuck it, pour it in.

Depends on how many beers I've already "tasted".

This is how I do it. I give it a good shake but to no drying it...oh, glass cleaning, give it a good shake then too, but after rinsing.

if I'm drinking a lot I'll rinse the glass, refill it with water, chug it, fill it with another beer, then wake up the next day hungover and dehydrated anyway

At wine club, I always rinse the glass and dry it with a napkin between pours. At our bottle shares, which typically involve a bunch of imperial stouts, I usually don't bother. I don't often drink more than one beer a day at home, but when I do, I prefer scrupulously clean #ProperGlassware. ($1 to The Most Interesting Man in the World.)

Having the same beer? Rinse between pours. Different styles? It goes between a whole new glass with a rinse or rinsing really well the same glass.

As long as glasses are closer than the sink. I'll switch glasses

rinse always between different beers. other whys you are contaminating it with the previous beer and may affect your notes (may they be mental or written down)

Having a rack full of glassware makes it just as easy to switch to a different glass. The only problem is having all of those glasses to wash the next day. I justify this by thinking how happy each beer was to get a new glass.
One variance would be if I were drinking the same beer from the same brewery. Than I would use the same glass no problem.

Rinse. To get the full effect of what the brewers intended. Sorta like the director's cut of a movie.

Sometimes I rinse between beers, but mostly I just pour the new one in.
