I think it's pretty well established some beers are meant for careful, contemplative sipping and others are meant for gulping - they're quenching, easy drinking, refreshing, meant to be consumed en masse, etc.

So...what's your favorite gulping beer? For me, I have to go Deschuetes Black Butte. Yes, one might not think of a porter as a gulping beer, but it's so easy to drink, so flavorful, so smooth, and low enough in ABV that I find myself killing a bottle or pint in no time. And I love it each and every time.

Lately I have found I can really put away some Hi-Res & Todd Axe Man. Those two really disappear pretty fast.

a table sour, in the 4-6.5% abv range. not too tart, but refreshing. at a taproom or bar you usually get an 8-12 oz pour, and it is just gone too quickly.

I will say, Hi-Res is too easy to drink given its heft...

Victory's Prima Pils is also often gone in the blink of an eye. Same goes for Metro's Magnetron.

Depends what I have on tap at home. Right now, it's Allegheny IPA from Four Mile Brewing - it's so easy drinking

I know it's a year-round offering, but it only comes to my market seasonally. Eagerly awaiting it's return.

Oskar Blues Mama's Little Yella Pils is what first came to mind. Perfect on a hot day.

Most recently, LIC Beer Project's NYS Sour. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/40437/217461/
I actually think it has a higher abv than that.
I know it's very local, but I'll try to think of another example.

hold up, did the Alstrom bro's just change up the layout of the beer page??

Edit: also, i know some people find the acidity from sours to sometimes mess with their stomachs after a bunch of them, but i've never seemed to have that issue.

Also. Grimm Purple Prose, pretty tart, but I loved swigging that down too.

Weihenstephaner hefeweizen, and sometimes exile Hannah. Something about hefeweizens that are great for hot days.

Nightshift Whirlpool, baby!!! CHUG CHUG CHUG CHUG CHUG!!!

that one's obvious, but a less obvious one: Lawson's Sip of Sunshine.... goes down way too easy, and at 8% that could end badly.

Bell's Oberon, just too good! I try to make myself slow down and savor it but it tends to disappear quickly!
