So you were trying to sell a beer for $500 to prove that it could fetch it? I'm not surprised that people are selling high quality beers (or anything) for way over MSRP online but I also wouldn't be surprised if those same people were d-slapped with a lemon zester.

It seems you were merely trying to make five hundred dollars.

Including the above quote might undermine the authenticity of an apology.

Also, if you haven't pick up your allotment, how did you drink MBP yesterday? Ask this because (and forgive me for this line of thinking), can't help but think that someone who sells 1/12th of a $200 allotment for $500 might fib about trying a beer that they haven't actually tried, in efforts to inflate their wares. Especially when they use a borrowed picture for their sale.

And if he was just "trying to prove a point", then his lack of knowledge that this was frowned upon (bullshit) wouldn't really be relevant, would it?

On a brighter note, has anyone tried the new Agave IPA at Roundabout and, if so, any thoughts?

I sold drugs once just to show that I could do it.

What's the end game then? Was he going to get an offer and then say "lol jk" and not sell it? Seems pretty unlikely considering I'd presume it would adversely effect his otherwise perfect feedback on a site that he has 20+ instances of such.

Had it yesterday. Solid for sure. I really dug the chili pepper blonde ale. Though it made me super hungry.

Yeah last year during the launch when Tomme "dug deep in his cellar" aka drove to Philly and found cases. Red Poppy was gone by the time I arrived though.

I call the beers laying around in my basement my "cellar" too. Sometimes I even have to "dig deep" too; I have to crawl over all the Christmas decorations and unstack boxes and stuff.

    It's hard work.

I understand the general disdain for reselling beer, but the people who are really to blame are the dumbasses buying shit for $500. If people didn't buy at those prices, there would be no market to sell at those prices.

While no Splinter Series offering has blown me away yet, Troegs seems to have doubled down on their commitment, especially given their expansion plans. Looking forward to this one.

Looks like the word of mouth for Brew Gentlemen's offerings has spread nicely. Someone is offering up a Balaton from Side Project for a few 750s of Albatross on the main trade forum.

I know someone on here who is selling growlers on the internet too! For a nice big markup!

Oh wait. I mean..."spreading the love"

Geez. How much profit can one really make off of reselling growlers? It would probably be easier to snatch quarters from the local mall's fountain.
