Seems safe to say that it won't be - I can't remember a time they released a beer to be canned 1.5 weeks in advance in the tap room - but I agree it sounds great. Looks like there are gonna be some great new beers to try this weekend.

Not like it does this thread any good, but will be interesting to see how this collab went, considering the unique flavor profile they chose to go with the Tired Hands IPA collab: Taco Hands

cellarmakerbrewing Joey B is kegging off Double Comfy Pants, our collab with @Otherhalfnyc. Come by TOMORROW to try this East/West Coast hybrid DIPA fermented with aromatic yeast and hopped heavily with Southern Passion, Citra, Simcoe and Galaxy. LIMIT 2 GROWLERS PER PERSON

Except they didn't brew a novelty food beer? Not sure what I'm supposed to be considering here. Sounds like a regular ass DIPA.

You're are considering a hybrid East/West Coast DIPA "fermented with aromatic yeast"...should be interesting, that is all

I had Double Mosaic Dream tonight and it was fantastic. Very dank and herbal, but with a nice hit of citrus...and, fantastic. Great DIPA. A pleasure to drink.

Stopped by yesterday and thought Momo(Mosaic/Motueka IIPA) was great. Picked up a growler.

Tried All Citra Everything again and thought it was tasting really boozy for 8.5.

Also, for those who grabbed cans of Diamonds, is it looking way hazier this batch? I missed the release but what I had yesterday looked way different from the Diamonds I've tried in the past. Thought it was really good, though.

For a $1 an oz. Ride the subway 20 more minutes and you could, as of yesterday, pick it up at Other Half for 1/2 the price.

Yeah I was just there and was going to post they had it on tap. It'll be on tap at Fool's Gold too for the take over tomorrow.

    Street Fruit is tasting nice.

Looking at their menu on untappd, only 5 of their 21 beers on tap at the moment are under $1 an ounce. Guess as long as people keep frequenting torst their prices will continue to stay high...

Weren't they canned a month ago? Why wouldn't they still taste good?

Beer doesn't have to be straight off the canning line to taste good. This freshness craze is insane. I met a guy who passed up on Lambo Door because it was 3 weeks old.

Not meant to bash on you bc you're just giving an opinion but there should be no reason a beer that was canned 4 weeks ago shouldn't taste good.

I used to be the type to turn down certain IPAs if they were over a month old. Just finished my last can of Make It Rain and it was as good as it's ever been. There are always gonna be beers that fall off fast, but most of what I've had from Other Half has held up well.

It's funny though...one of the few beers of theirs that falls off fast (for me, at least) is All Green Everything. I feel like that beer is perfect straight off of the canning line. From my experience with the past few batches, the intense tropical fruit flavors start fading after about two weeks and the booze/malt becomes a lot more prominent.

On the topic of freshness . . . I think a month is still well within peak quality for many beers but I don't think it's unreasonable to say that some beers are better before then. I'll go against the crowd and say I think AGE is better after a week or two . . but most truly great IPAs, I'd rather have them 2 weeks out as opposed to 2 months out.

I don't get this freshness craze. I mean sure fresh is good but for ex: I was in whole foods this morning and the beer guy was telling me to buy the captains daughter they just got in because it was canned 3 days ago. Sure it's a great beer but that's not really a selling point, I'd buy it at 7 days and I'm sure I'd enjoy it the same.

While in general I agree, but Captains Daughter does not age well. I had one at a month and it was a drain pour. Within the first two weeks it is a completely different beer than at 4 weeks.

Hoping we get an announcement today on what the cans will be next weekend. My fridge is thirsty.
