KBS in Chicagoland (2016)

I swung by Binnys in Arlington Hts around 9:15 (after I went to Des Plaines) and they were completely sold out.

 

Arlington Heights Binny's is sold out.....Bonk bonk

 

Binnys highland park is sold out

 

Jewel on State must have been no limit. Saw some girl with 3 4-packs in the checkout line.

 

This is fun to watch the chaos develop over KBS.

 

Binny's in Downers Grove was sold out. I was there about 11:30. Whole Foods in Wheaton has it. Limit 2. You gotta ask for it. Got it about noon.

 

Binny's Naperville sold out at 9:45am. Hit WF Wheaton and got 2-btls but going fast (even S@H moms were grabbing some). BTW...they had Surly Xtra Citra, 4-pak for $7.99....cant wait to try it.

 

Highland Park Binny's had a limit of 4-pack. Not sure when they ran out.

After I picked up my 4-pack there, I drove down to Skokie Binny's and they were all sold out by 9:20 A.M. (was able to pick up second to last 4-pack they had left).

 

Is it only the Jewels in the city getting KBS? Has anyone around Lake County,IL seen it at jewel?

 

I remember showing up at Binny's Grand last year around noon or so and we couldn't find it. We finally saw 3 bottles left next to a puddle of it on the floor. Someone knocked over the display and a couple of bottles broke. We gave a slight thought to sipping the floor.

 

You must have a different definition of chaos than me. I've seen no chaos at all.

Jewel on Ashland & Wellington had it, and I grabbed the last 2 4 packs (save for one pack that the guy told me was holding for someone).

 

Any update?

 

Just ment love watching the forums, saying how fast it's run out or who has it. Brings small excitement to my otherwise boring life haha

 

Which Jewel's in the city got them? Anything in the loop?

 

My eternal dilemma, now that I now longer work 5 minutes from Binny's and have a boss who loves beer too(and would let me leave work at 9AM, provided I got him some) is do I just pay the insane price some of these stores charge so I can just have a bottle or two? But that just reinforces their gouging if people do pay $12 a bottle for this (or $18 for BCS etc).

 

Binny's wasn't overcharging by much. Founders posted retail was $20 for a four pack plus tax, Binny's today was about $6.60 including tax.

 

Smart move by CPS to choose today as their strike day...so they can gobble up all the KBS!
