Getting ready to brew 12 gallons of IPA tomorrow. Got my starter ready to go, hops are ready, grain is ready, newer bigger MLT is ready to go. Going with Vienna as my base malt for the first time in this recipe, Nugget, Chinook, CTZ, Meridian, and my house Brett brux strain.

Also need to clean a few kegs and a fermenter. How about you?

Checking gravity on my Nelson IPA brewed last Sunday. Figure which yeast (US-05 or London III) and get a 2L starter going for another PA/IPA this weekend. Need to figure hop schedule... either all Citra or Cent, Citra, Amarillo. Was debating brewing a 10 gallon batch and pulling 5 gallons around 45 minutes into boil before major hop additions for a sour... No lacto at my (home)brewery but possibly pitch uncrushed grain similar to Berliner Weisse.

Get some Good Belly from the "Healthy Drink" section of your local Kroger. Pure Lacto plantarum, stuff works awesome at room temp in only a few days.

Really? That is interesting, and I will definitely try it. Cheers!

Yup, it is whatever juice base (Mango, apple, berry, etc) fermented with pure Lacto p. I've had it take a starter down to 3.4 in 24 hours at room temp.

You got me early morning researching with your initial response, and this was what I was looking for. Thanks!

I might be splitting my Berliner up into one gallon vessels, depending on how the sample tastes. I sampled it 2 weeks ago and it was slightly sour with a big brett presence. I upped the ferm temp a bit so we'll see if it has more of a bite.

Brewing an IPA (or 3), a black Kolsch (really interested to see how this comes out), Dry hopped blonde, and a brett saison.

Planning to brew a dark mild this weekend (a week ahead of schedule). I'm going to try some rye in it to see how it works with a a mild. The slurry will be used for a RIS next week. Going for something like Nightstalker for that one.

I'm doing a brown bitter ale of sorts tomorrow. Will save the yeast for a couple of other brews, so am making a starter tonight with the wyeast Hales yeast. Not used it before. Anyone used it much? WY1332 Northwest Ale

Definitely kegging up a baltic porter and an IPA…so wasn't planning on brewing this weekend but on second thought, may try the session saison on Sunday. I actually picked up some sea buckthorn berries that I may try to add in there...

My wife texted me to let me know that my grain crusher has arrived in the mail. I can't wait to try it out. My cost per batch should now drop substantially.

Bought about a pound and a half of some assortment of hops for some upcoming brews. I plan on brewing the first batch on my new electric system this Sunday. Hopefully it'll go somewhat smooth, because I'm sure I'll run into some hiccups. I should probably try to record some of the process and upload it for fun.

Doing double duty today as the wife is out of town. Brewing and smoking some pulled pork for the fellas tonight.

Beautiful day for a home brew (glaxay, mosaic and Columbus ipa) while brewing a fresh batch. Hit my target preboil OG right on the nose at 1.048.

First wort hops just about to boil. I love how it creates a green layer Before the bubbles crack though.

I have an Marzen to put on tap soon, 10 gallons of IPA almost ready for dry hopping with 8 oz of Mosaic. My first doppelbock will go in for a lengthy lager phase, and I'll brew 10 gallons of my Hefeweizen recipe that I make at least twice a year. I'll attempt an Imperial Pilsner to enter into some competitions.
I also put in a false bottom in my mash tun and a electric element in my HLT. April is looking good!

I just brought my Munich Helles, brewed three weeks ago, into the kitchen. I'll keg this baby up tomorrow and start the lagering plus gelatin fining stage tomorrow. Cheers!

Even if I kegged, this would still be getting bottled. Bottles cost less to ship than kegs.
