Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! I got my new car yesterday, so my next step is to go find a condo to buy so I can move out of my apartment and get a bit of equity going for myself. I hate living on the 3rd floor, brewing beer is a stovetop operation. If I get a condo I will have a garage and can finally use a propane burner

My go-to Oatmeal stout. Flavors of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toasted oats, dark bread, and nutty malts; with light licorice/molasses notes and balanced herbal/spicy hop bitterness. Medium-full bodied creamy/silky and lightly sticky/chalky balanced roast malt mouthfeel; with tons of robust/complex flavor for 5.2%. This is always amazing.


Outstanding brown ale as always. Flavors of caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, toasted oats, brown bread, chocolate, light nuttiness, and light-moderate bourbon/oak notes. Light herbal hop bitterness and oak/bourbon spiciness on the finish balances the malt sweetness perfectly. Awesome all around balance and complexity of malt/barrel flavors. Nice medium-full bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel. Glad they released more recently, very easy to buy right now, I keep throwing these in mix 6 packs I make a lot. Fantastic beer. I should probably just buy a whole 4 pack next time I am out.


Got a fresh 4 pack a few weeks ago, tasting insane as always. Super bright hop flavors of lemon, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, light pepper, and pine; with light honey/bready malt balance and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine resin/spicy bitterness; with a crisp/dry sticky hop mouthfeel. Highly drinkable. This is probably my top favorite DIPA when it is fresh, just wish fresh packs were easier to find more often. Nicely dry and very juicy on hop characteristics.


Cellar grab 2014 KBS. Incredible as usual. Big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, molasses, bourbon, and toasted oak; with some light raisin/fig fruits. Light carbonation, with a full bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel. Lightly warming, and super smooth sipping. There is still a nice amount of coffee flavor going on here; with perfect balance of the bourbon and roasted malt flavors. After having 2016 a few weeks ago, I think fresh is best; but this is still insanely delicious as well.

Good morning BAs! @JoeBloe and @Scrapss photos look all too familiar - it's still snowing here in NW PA. We don't really believe in spring until after 15 April, when the studded tires come off.

Today's NBS beer is:

Decent for a saison/farmhouse ale.

 

If I waited, the nearly knee-high front-forty would have been hip-high by the time I could have gotten to it. Growing season is going to be great for berry foraging I am guessing!
