I for one hope for as much FO as possible. Love that beer, I would much rather it be easy to obtain. I have no desire to trade it, I just want to drink it!!!!!

im also not the kind of person thats gonna feel less special or bitter cause its more available to everyone nationally.

Supposedly the emails for the blending should be going out today.

On Sunday, May 22nd, the brewery and Tasting Room will be closed to the public while we celebrate you, our most dedicated fans, with an in-depth sneak peek of the unblended Fundamental Observation 2016. Explore samples aged in each of the four different bourbon barrel brands in a 'vertical' format and discover the nuances that Buffalo Trace, WL Weller, Heaven Hill and Four Roses individually bring to the finishing beer.

Yep. See all 900 of you guys there!

Wouldn't this actually be a "horizontal" format?

Please take a moment to prevent yourself from any unnecessary heartbreak by developing a deep understanding of the following: Tickets may only be selected by the Tier Three prize winner who registered with us on Saturday, March 26th. There are no additional tickets available, there are no plus-one options. Admission will be granted based on the match of your VALID ID on May 22nd to the information you provided on March 26th. Hole punched, damaged, or expired IDs are unacceptable, even with DMV paperwork. Tickets are non-transferable, there will be absolutely no exceptions.

I bet they're hoping this would weed out a few of the 900 peeps.

    Thought the same thing.

Next part of the email talks about the sessions:

Near the end of April we'll send you a private event link where you will select a session to attend from several options throughout that day. If you're hoping to attend with another Tier Three prize winner, please make sure you coordinate your plans with each other before you select a session! There will be no make-up sessions offered.

I'm not arguing, because I truly don't know... But that's not what I was told at the DMV and I was able to board a plane multiple times, no problem, with my hole punched ID/paperwork.

Hole punched IDs are definitely no longer considered valid. The paper temporary IDs are considered valid, but unfortunately a lot of places still do not accept them as they are the most easy to fake.

Must have changed. My wife was denied entry to the Stone NYE party a couple years ago, even though she had the paperwork and the punched ID.

I know that in other states, a temporary drivers license is to prove the drivers license itself, not proof of age. Not sure of CA.

    Stupid, I know...

really stupid, also really really REALLY sucks when you get your wallet stolen and have to wait the two weeks or so till the DMV sends you a new one.

Just curious, why are ID's hole punched?

If you are renewing your license or if you're getting a license in the state for the first time, they punch a hole in your existing one basically to mark that it's no longer valid. You normally get your proper license in the mail like a week or two later.

Oh I see, when I renewed mine last year they didn't hole punch it. I mean after all it has an expiration date on it but idk oh well.

It drives me crazy we have to wait anyway. When I got my first license in NC like 18 years ago, I walked in, passed my test, took my picture and waited ten minutes in the lobby and they made the license on the spot and gave it to me. You could even scan it and it had all of the holograms like the current CA license as well.

This is probably why they don't do it here. I'm sure people were taking blanks and going into business making fakes. The current system takes that ability out of the corruptible drones at the DMV offices.
