Well, considering multiple press releases state the 7th as the start of soft openings...

she said soft opening all this week with the plan to be open to the public by the weekend. It might be worth a shot to call the location later in the evening and talk to someone there.

I was at the soft opening on Sunday. The place is very nice and everything was new(go figure). I think there were more bartenders and servers in the building than patrons. Bottles of Parabola will be available when the store opens, i think Wednesday. Brewery is supposed to open by the end of the month. There are multiple beer engines so expect many casks. Waiting for Parabola on cask with coffee, cocoa nibs and vanilla beans:wink:.

As for the food, the drunken shrimp were very good, pretzels were very big, and the pizzas were hand made(no spent grain). Only gripe, the roasted brussels and spinach did not include actual brussel sprouts but the leaves of roasted brussel sprouts.

holy shit. that is amazing. beyond absurd at this point. there's easily enough in that stack to get everyone a bottle who got shut out on release day when they "sold out". hopefully the douchebag who got 56 bottles will be able to get some more.

despite the fact that seeing those cases opens up old wounds, i'm still looking forward to this opening.

Well, they would have had to gotten emails/info from those people before turning them away on that Black Friday, but fuck that, cause they weren't having anything that would be seen as a logical course of action to take.

My guess is that they had already planned to save some for the Venice location given that it was supposed to be open already. I hope I can get a bottle this time.

That did look like a lot of Parabajava cases. I feel bad for all those that got shut out and now they keep releasing it. Maybe when someone calls them on it when they didn't get bottles they should offer to sell them a couple instead of releasing it at random times. And if they were gonna hold some back for Venice, then say that was the plan from the beginning. Instead of saying that there were only a couple random cases left. Seems like there were at least 100+.
I feel like the parabajava situation just keeps getting worse. Luckily I went to Paso and didn't have to deal with Barrelworks.

yeah, i think it's a contender for possibly one of the worst handled releases, mostly because of how it's been handled since the day of. the day of, some people got shut out. they were bummed. but i think got over it pretty quickly and went to the taproom and enjoyed a bunch of good beer and had a good time. if that were the end of it, it would have been the end of it and people probably wouldn't have mentioned it again.

all the constant subsequent postings of parabajava bottles every weekend on jim's instagram, and now this mountain of bottles.. it does call into question FW's official response on what happened. and on their commitment to their loyal customers and fans

but, looking forward to this opening! cheers!!!!!!!

Just takes to operator at FW. Said that they're shooting for an opening this weekend. Trying to work out all the kinks and will be doing friends and family to work on operating procedures most of the week. Probably ...

    Can't wait

The best news I got is that FW installed 3 (or 4) sour lines in Venice.
