When you leave unwarranted bad feedback as a retaliation and gloat about it, it doesn't matter how many good trades you have, you are lucky you have not been banned already.

And there have been numerous instances where people had 100% feedback and turned into bad traders never to be heard from again.

Have you never been upset before? It was a mistake

You're as best as your worst trade. @F2brewers did a great job detailing out where you should be credited and where you went wrong. Offering free beer is nice, but it's only another promise. Why should he believe you when you fail to follow through with your original promises in the first place? Where you really went wrong was leaving retaliatory feedback. Retaliatory feedback compromises the entire trade feedback system by causing traders to fear retaliation and don't leave feedback on bad trade experiences. This is why the OP was up in arms in this thread, not because you failed to come through. You were asked to remove the retaliatory feedback, which you still haven't done, so you haven't really fixed anything, even after admitting that it was mistake. Your best recourse is to remove the retaliatory feedback and live with the negative feedback you got from OP.

Retalitory feedback issue aside, this is another shining example of why I don't agree to "pre-trades" or at least never accept/extend a trade request involving them. Too many variables...

Yup. If I pre-trade, which is very rare, I will make it very clear that until we both have the beers in our hands, there won't be an accepted trade request.

My apologies. I distinctly recalled there's a way to edit your feedback and @F2brewers original comment alluded to that ability as well. Maybe he can point you to the right direction.

Aside from that, I'm not trying to be serious or make it out to be "serious", just wanted to point out the sequence and reasons for people responses and reactions.

I don't think you can remove, only edit. But a mod can certainly correct me if I'm wrong.

To edit, go to your Sent feedback and at the bottom by your username and time/date, there's the Edit button.

Left good feedback, no trade was completed so I don't feel honest about that but if a mod wants to remove that then up to them. Hopefully we can drop this.

I still think your attitude throughout this thread will put you on a lot of folks' DNT lists. A little humility goes a long way, both in beer and life.

FWIW, when looking at negative feedback, people usually look at the corresponding feedback from the other person. What you updated in the OP feedback shows that owned your mistake, which actually helps you and mitigate your negative feedback.

And just like that, the problem is resolved.

I edited the thread title to show that the issue was resolved and removed the bad trader tag.

Locking this thread, but leaving it up for reference.

    Edit:

Going forward, if one party does leave feedback in a situation like this and you feel it's not appropriate, contact the mods and we'll work together to map out a path forward so we *don't* end up in situations like this over and over. Don't take it into your own hands.
