Bourbon O.E. - 13.5%
Bourbon Barrel-Aged English Barleywine

This yearly release is one of our favorite and looked forward to all year long by many of our fans. Aged for 15-17 months in used bourbon barrels, this beer exhibits complex flavors of toasted marshmallow, oak, and chocolate covered dark fruits. The bourbon character is front and center, but extended aging keeps everything balanced and Bourbon O.E. extremely drinkable.

Join us Wednesday as we tap the first kegs of the 2016 release. This is only the draft release and the bottles will come at a later date. Stay tuned for our bottle release announcement.

 

So Bourbon O.E. is as good as it always is. Super smooth

 

For my taste, it's always been too sweet. I'm expecting more of the same.

 

Sweetness isn't the issue for me. It's the booziness, which I know is appealing to some people.

Also, I do so appreciate all of you trying to figure out who stole the hoodies. We have cameras that show their faces and it seems they were probably first timers (and mostly likely one timers- that Corona shirt! Seriously?!)...Your CSI investigations are awesome but we didn't post their faces for fear of the legal liability. Wish people were more considerate but when it comes to alcohol, some people make bad choices...and get sticky fingers. It wasn't the first and it won't be the last.

If anything, feel free to speak up if shit looks f'd in the taproom...we appreciate the extra eyes watching for potential issues and will always handle it with grace and discretion.

We are still nailing down BOE's bottle release. It will most likely go on sale the first week of May. Details to come...it's a crazy time right now, we have a ton of releases:

Anniversary beer- a wild tart wheat with citrus(May 21st Anni party and release)
plus another wild beer Porter created but I can't remember what it's called, sorry!

Also, we made a small batch of Ch'nooks and Crannies but we're not bottling this batch. Draft only...we wanted to test out a possible adjustment to the recipe (more hops!) before releasing another round in bottles...and more bottles than last time.

That BPT ticket link also lists snugglebug. is it just cuddlebug or snuggle as well? It also says tickets go on sale april 14 at noon but you had april 15 at noon listed above. just want to make sure on the date.

I think that was to be expected. I'm pretty sure Laurie had mentioned here that they were looking to do Snugglebug as a once a year release around February anyway.
