[IMG]Looks like Stone is getting in on the Maple game and will be releasing a brand new variant in the "Bastard" family of beers. This beer is called Bastard's Midnight Brunch, which is Depth-Charged Double Bastard aged in both Bourbon barrels and Maple Syrup barrels. This big boy will clock in at 12.7% and will come packaged 500ml bottles and released as part of the Quingenti Millilitre series. No word on release date at this time.

Another boutique beer flavored with bourbon, I'll pass, just man up and buy good bourbon. Whats the point in drinking flavored beer?

Because it tastes good and people like things that taste good.

Oak barrels impart great flavors to beer just as they do to bourbon. It tastes good.

I will probably pass. Depth-Charged wasn't a hit for me. And the 500 ml format for $20 is starting to hurt my wallet.

I liked depth charged, grabbed a couple for the cellar at $6 from costco. Maybe theyll release it in October with the rest of the Bastard family.

I might wait for feedback on here to see if its worth it, as I'm guessing it will cost as much as a Bastard Box with a whole lot less Bastard volume. Xocoveza Charred was really good, but I'm not entirely sure I'd rather a single bottle of it over a 6 pack of the delicious base beer, which makes me question this one as well.

This might be the best worst thread comment of 2016. Bourbon barrel aged beers aren't "flavored" beers. They are aged in used barrels and impart qualities of whatever was in the them before, but it's not like "boutique" brewers are flavoring their beer by adding bourbon to them. I, as you so aptly described it, pony up good money for great bourbon but I don't always like to drink bourbon so if I want a barrel aged beer, then I also have a nice stash of those too to consume.
