I mean, honestly, Kim-Jung Un in any sort of wooden container would suffice, really...

I mean that's the way to go. I am dog-sitting currently and when my friend came to drop the pupper off she commented on my stack of cardboard boxes etc in the corner. I defended my hoarding saying that I use them and they're just the right size to ship the things I need (beer). She reminded me that I work in a damn hospital and we get boxes and packaging of ALL sorts and sizes...

That's an incredible payload of porch destruction. I wouldn't be surprised if some men in black turn up around @TongoRad's place looking for answers.

HALP!!! I has been attacked by a Ninja. A Ninja named @beatjunkee , to be accurate. I hadn't been around my work much this week, as I'm house-sitting my nephew, Gunner, the Mastiif-Rottweiller mix, and two cats, Fish & Asshole George. So, I walked Gdawg down to the brewery this morning to grab my paycheck, and some of my BIF beers that I had stashed there. And, what appeared before me? A box from above mentioned Ninja. The box contained:
12oz can Double Duckpin (which I've had before, and am happy to have again!)
16oz can Citra Splendor from Manor Hill (which I've never even heard of)
12oz bottle Jade IPA from Foothills
12oz can The Corruption from DC Brau
120s can Penn Quarter Porter from DC Brau

    A great surprise ninja attack!

    Thanks Beatjunkee!

Finally, the beers from the awesome Pampers Porch Bomb sent by @beatjunkee . These all look awesome, most of them I've never heard of before, and also great breweries that I have been waiting to try. In addition to these beers I got some cool glassware and some local Virginia beer publications, which are always appreciated. Can't wait to crack one of these open tomorrow.

We both got Jade and the 2 DC Brau beers from @beatjunkee , which ones ya wanna hit tomorrow? There's a few other combinations of people that got the same beers from their senders, it'll be fun to be "sharing" the beers together.

Our weather got cooler here. And many of my bottles from BA Extrodinaire @Ozzylizard are BIG. So if my brewing partner can help me out I'll start with either Weyerbacher's Merry Monks or Blasphemy. If I'm flying solo I'll start with one of his Texas offerings, Karbach's Three Legged Lab Imperial Stout.

So, I drilled that puppy a while ago. Other than being an ugly beer, I'm just not a fan of these opaque "New England" IPAs, the beer was pretty good. The best part was, that it avoided what I consider the biggest flaw in the "style"; the fact that the disappears almost immediately. The citrus and floral flavors lingered for a bit on the palate, this brew made you remember it.

Preaching to the converted, in my case. I've only had a couple sweet citrus bomb takes on IPAs, and I prefer some balance and contrast.
