Favorite "college town" craft breweries

    I went to WMU so should I claim Bell's?

    The old Wormtown location at Peppercorns was practically on the campus of my old school, Clark University, though they set up shop a few years after my time there.

    Staying in MA, you've also got Cambridge Brewing Company right near MIT.

    Currently my favorite in Fort Collins, home of the Colorado State Rams, is zwei brewing. I love their German styles and their IPAs are nice as well

    Selin's Grove brewpub in Selinsgrove, PA, home of my daughters college, Susquehanna University.
    Go River Hawks! (Their new name, changed from the Crusaders. I was rooting for the Susquehanna Sasquatches)

    Obviously (because this is inevitably what happens here), this has become "My favorite brewery and a college near it." My definition of a "college town" would be a city that exists -- at least today -- solely/largely because it has a college (or colleges) in it.

    Tampa is a great beer city and it has two higher-ed institutions but I've never heard it called a "college town" (and rightly so). Athens, GA, on the other hand ...

    It's amazing. Upland is the major player. Also a major presence from quaff on! And Bloomington brewing company. Also the home of Oliver winery any numerous small wineries/vineyards. It's the perfect fermentation city lol
