To be honest that sounds simpler, and 1000x less stressful and nervewracking than trying to get them online.

No line at all @ 7:35. In and out within 2 minutes with a Group A ticket for will-call. Fuel, tolls and being a couple minutes late to work for me were probably even less than the service fee and shipping would have been. That said, I'll still try online first each year.

I was wondering this same thing. I am in Group B and then have friends in Group E. I was thinking about coming early to get in and out by early afternoon with my bottles, taking a break a little, and then coming back in with them later on. They aren't arriving till 2 or 3. Shorter question for me, what's the line going to be like if I arrive around 9/930am?

Out of curiosity, what was the price on the glassware & shirts last year? This will be my first time, so I'm just trying to plan on how much cash I should bring.

I think the glassware was $25 for 2 mini snifters I think. And around $10-15 each for everything else. I remember spending around $75 on glassware.

That sounds about right on glassware. I want to say shirts were $20. I spent $50 on a hoodie.

My wife and I always try online first. If we both get tickets, that's two friends we can help out if needed. If only one gets tickets, we're both covered. If only one or neither gets online tickets, we have pub sales as a back-up.

Well the gates don't open until 10 so you are going to have several thousand people in line at 9/9:30, but that is a good time for bottle sharing. As others say, if you enter at 3pm, there isn't a huge bottle share line anymore since it moves fast (plenty of bottle sharing inside or in random tents outside though). At 9am everyone is stuck in place still and bottle sharing.

I dunno, I don't see how driving to a brewpub to wait in line to buy tickets is simpler than sitting on your couch purchasing them with your laptop. There's a reason Amazon is so huge.

With that being said, for those who are nearby FFF or who drive by on the way to work, that certainly is nice and convenient.

Right...there is the caveat that those buying in person are likely to be nearby (or got shutout on line).

I've been shutout online in the past, with all the conscious effort it takes, it makes no sense. This year, I had dozens of screens "in line." Only one made it through to purchase tickets, the rest either failed to load or got shut out by the end of the day. All of them were for different lines, some being best available.

It's a crap shoot. And even better, there are random people just popping in on their cell phones getting tickets easy peasy an hour after they go live, while you're still sitting their with 3 PCs hooked up to landlines, and tablets and phones on wifi going no where. That's something that really blows my mind.

Same here. Although I did check the tracking number to see if I was getting a second set.

Has anyone had trouble at the gate for having more than 288oz of beer with them?

I'm thinking the 288oz is more legal fine print thing than anything. This is a state bill, they make sure every detail is covered. I doubt security is going to inspect bags that thoroughly and add up the contents of all the bottles.

That said, are you actually considering bringing more than 13 bombers in at once? Even if you could fit all that in a back pack, it seems a bit excessive. You're more likely to have back trouble than trouble at the gate.

Why would anyone ever need to bring in 13 bombers to Dark Lord Day?

    Bring in 6 or 7. That's plenty.

Even 6-7 bottles is pushing it. I feel like Lebron saying this, "I am taking my talents to the guest taps".
