Back East's NE attempt would probably be Tony Goes Dancing, which was quite good. I like IL too. So I disagree with you there. I think BE is making some of the most under appreciated beers in CT, including their Summer Ale, Rakautra and the BOMO pilsner. Can't wait to get my hands on some Summer cans soon!

Did I hear $16 a 4 pack? At that price I will try it but if it is not better than Sip, G-bot or even Captns Daughter... I don't see myself ever buying it more than once. They could price themselves out of a lot of people's fridges being the most expensive DIPA sold from CT.

Yeah, mine was $16. Definitely a lot to pay for something I had never had before. I think they sold it at $15 at Shebeen. I heard some people got gouged bad on this. $5/6 a can.

In case anyone is interested... there is a can release at Shebeen on 4/19. 1 case limit @ $90.

I plan to try this once it hits Fairfield County, but it better be one darn good IPA at $15 a 4 pack of 16 oz-ers ... In case anyone is keeping track that's more than Heady, same price as Julius, more than Sip (in most places), I could go on.

Sounds like every "the next Heady/Sip/Treehouse etc" IPA that hits the market these days. Mediocre brewer jams more hops than usual into a big IPA and the hopheads go wild. But if you get past the smell, these are usually poorly made beers that lose their luster halfway thru the can/bottle. And the price seems absurd.

Honestly I think Tony Goes Dancing was better than Trail Blazer (a lot cheaper too), The Berliner-Weisse beers BackEast have been doing have all been awesome too!

But this one is the best because it's supply is short and it costs a lot of money. I mentioned this in another post, but the pics of this beer looked like it was un-carbonated and extremely thick.

Gypsy brewed, not contract brewed. Shebeen doesn't have anything to do with it aside from it being brewed on their system.

It looks almost still in the glass and has little to no lacing however, it was definitely not un-carbonated or under carbonated. It reminded me a lot of Swish, not as good as Swish, but I thought it was a solid beer.

I'm here now. I think I'm within the first 100 but they should drop the limit, I doubt they expected this.

I also wonder what the Shebeen guys think, I can't imagine they've ever had a line like this.
