Parabola in Chicago

I've heard rumors of it dropping this week in Chicago. I'd like to see that happen...it would make this week a pretty good one.

Good luck getting a bottle. I talked to a guy at Foremost and he is only getting 2 or 3 bottles.

 

Trade with West Coast folks for this. West Coast sees huge distro of Parabola, plenty to be had, and you don't have to worry about rushing to Binny's or wherever cause OMG-Rar-Limit-One-Beer-In-A-Box.

 

This. I'm sure plenty can be had for good Pipeworks or Mikerphone releases.

 

I will try.. I hate all the release hype shit that goes on. It's only beer.

Yeah, I find this thread interesting. It's basically just going to be people saying a store got it in...so if you weren't at that store within an hour or so, it's gone.

 

Definitely. Personally, I'm not going to bother trying to chase it down. Do I like Parabola, absolutely.... but I don't like the idea of basically having to quit my full-time job just so I can have a chance of tracking down a bottle of something like Parabola. Chicago beer scene has been becoming increasingly depressing with all the craziness.

 

I just utilize my full time job to track it down. I feel like I do a good job of hunting things down without being crazy (I'm sure my wife would disagree), but I also have pretty flexible work schedule, so I kinda get paid when I'm looking for this stuff.

 

That would be nice! I go over lunch every once in a while and check out the local Binny's if something nice is coming out. Most of the time I strike out, unfortunately.

 

Would like to get some distro beers without a $15 to $30 shipping charge attached to it sometimes, WTF FW and your shitty 6 bottle cases. Going to have to trade some GI BC stouts for it. Lol

Coming from a Spartans fan who bilks the clock to find beers I am not sure I care what you think!

Just goes to show you how much faith you can put in what you hear from stores sometime...I talked to them yesterday and they said it would be next week sometime.
