Latest Pipeworks Releases and Updates (2018)

Looks like Pdubs is part of a pretty cool tap takeover in Tokyo right now featuring some of Chitown's finest

 

dayum! that stuff got there very quick. before anyone freaks out at us for shipping BA beer to Japan, it was one case of each SKU.

 

A store by me still has a decent stock, maybe like 10 left. Will it still be there in 9 days? Not sure. Also I'm north burbs so if you're in the city you would have to be willing to drive an hour to get there. If your interested BM me when you get into town and I can let you know if it's still there.

 

So I'm going to be in Chicago this weekend and one of the beers I'm excited to bring home is Pipeworks. I looked online to see what should be in the stores and I saw they've only made one batch in April - it looks like they consistently brew 11-12 batches per month and already have 5 brewed by the 15th of the month normally.

Is something up with Pipeworks right now that explains the low production this month?

 

What beer are you referring to? Only the cans are brewed consistently. All the others are brewed once in a while.

 

You should be able to find plenty of PW (bottles & cans) on shelves this weekend so I would not be worried in any way. Head to a Binny's (or Beer Temple, WLV, etc) and you'll have no problems.

 

Cinnamon Abduction, Hey Careful Man, S'more Money are among the ones on shelves now.

 

Good to know it's just the webpage behind and not production!

I'm not looking for anything particular but always look for IPA's first - so I was just a bit worried about production, and a bit, but not too much on freshness as well.

Right now you should be able to get in cans Glaucus, Ninja v Unicorn, and Lizard King easily. Blood of the Unicorn I haven't seen in a while.......Citra v Mandarina bombers are out now too, that was a tasty brew.

 

They post on IG that Blood..Unicorn will be out in stores this Monday.

 

I'm staying outside of the city tonight but already checked the local Whole Foods and the cans you mentioned were there so I was able to get some.

I'm basically in the same complex as Revolution tomorrow so I'll take my growlers there and to Half Acre. I've had some of their beers, but never been to either place so I'm excited about that!

Has anyone seen my 4 pack of Lizard King and Blood of the Unicorn I accidentely left on Bus 54 yesterday afternoon? I hope whoever the lucky person enjoys them.

 

Ouch - that sucks! I don't know what I'd do if I happened to sit down on the bus and noticed a couple PW 4 packs just sitting there. Considering the cleanliness of some of our transit, I'd be skeptical of taking it!

 

I saw a couple of homeless guys drinking some Pipeworks "cans" close to one of the Bus 54 route stops in an alley I was jogging by yesterday, they looked happy.

 

Why is the word cans in quotes? Were they......not really cans?

 

No doubt. Also, I'd be worried that I was on some sort of Neckbeard Candid Camera show.
