I will freely admit to picking up a beer with a cool label on it occasionally. What can I say, sometimes its fun to live life on the edge and try something I know nothing about.

That being said, I agree with whoever said Hoppin' Frog - no label looks more like it was created in Windows 98 version of Paint than those labels.

Never been a fan of Lagunitas labels. Apparently Tony Magee took a typography class or something back in the 70's and it shows. Typography alone ≠ good graphic design.

I find some of the art work/graphics visually appealing even if cutesy names are silly. However the label plays absolutely no part in my purchase decision. I do pay attention to labels that accurate describe what's in the bottle though, and most importantly the bottled on date.

New Holland. They just re-did their labels again and made them even worse.

Green flash still isn't great after its makeover.

Hoppin Frog as others have said

This, in spades. Brown Note may be a great beer, but I'll never know for sure.

Surprised no one has said Flying Dog yet. They always get my vote for some of the worst branding.

I'm one who has no appreciation for the style or design of a label, so I don't really want any re-designs that I might not recognize. I just want it to be consistent across the brand so that I can spot my favorite brewery from a distance when I'm approaching the beer shelves of a store where I've never been before.

Jumping on the Against the Grain bandwagon. Not just Brown Note either, just in general, even if I do like some of their brews.

I'm ok with the Hunter S. Thompson themed packaging, but it's the lack of info on their bottles that gets me sometimes. i.e. - I had zero idea what this beer was when I saw it at the store:

Off the top of my head:

    Clown Shoes
    Brooklyn
    Flying Dog
    Mikkeler
    Weyerbacher
    St Arnolds
    Stoudts
    Bell's (with a few exceptions)
    Magic Hat
    Short's Brew

This x100 for many breweries. "Malt Beverage with flavorings" doesn't tell me crap about what beer I'm looking at. I feel like the Bruery has nearly identical wording on almost all their beers.

I'm always trying new beers.. however, if I can't read the label and know what's inside with little effort, I move on.

You'd think that any brewery sitting down and designing their NEW label would employ the mindset there is a ton of competition out there, and life is short.

Oh hell, who am I kidding!

Barrier - great beer, not a fan of their labels. I am however a fan of the material quality of their labels.

Also as mentioned the new Troegs labels.

I went to their brewery on Saturday for there rum barrel aged Borris release, It is a great place , world class beers , they they have beers for sale over $65 a bottle , I had like four beers, and pork belly, (they have great food by the way) and took home a barrel aged shandy , and the rum barrel aged Borris and my bill was like $100 You would think they could afford some better labels.........
