Wells sold out and Pinehurst isn't getting any that they know of. Perfect Pour is getting it tomorrow but they aren't doing a list and don't have a time.

TW Sterling is awful! Was there at 10 with a handful of people and they hs no idea when the truck was coming. I called throughout the day, each time I was told it hadn't arrived yet. Until now, when the woman said it came at 12 and was gone by 1. Wtf!?!? Who was the clueless person when I called at 1215?

I'm as much a fan of Aslin as anybody, but I just had a 2-week-old crowler of Small Town that did not age well. Smelled like buttery caramel and sour apple cider. I guess diacetyl infection? Maybe the can wasn't properly sterilized. I loved it fresh, but had to dump most of this crowler...

 

Damn, that sucks. I'm having a 1 week old crowler of Orange Starfish right now and it's incredible.

 

Yeah, I've had other Aslin crowlers a week or 2 old before, and they were great. Not sure what happened with this one. On to Dunley Place this weekend...

 

Anyone know the profile for dunley?

 

Wanna say it's loaded with Nelson and Galaxy.

 

I didn't love Dunley place when I had it a couple of months ago. It's maybe the weakest of all of the NE style hoppy beers I've had from them. Nose was only so-so and flavor was muddled, generally seemed like it just wasn't dialed in. That said, I happen to think they do a much better job with the lower ABV stuff. I didn't love Mind the Hop either.

 

Any 120 minute sightings in VA?

Ha. Called Total wine in Laurel two hours ago. Said Parabola not arrived yet. Just called, and they said it's all sold out. Either really good truck chasers or some employees buying it up.

 

What a bunch of bull! Why even bother trying. Thank god for trades.

 

Trades are half the reason we have this mess.

 

I would guess truck chasers and incompetent employees. Once had an employee at TW Laurel tell me they had no BA Narwhal only for me to point to an entire case sitting on a shelf.

 

Seems plausible that customers and not employees would buy it that quickly. Can anyone report anywhere in the area where Parabola has lasted any longer than 60 minutes?

 

FYI You can search on totalwine.com for a beer and it will tell you what stores have it. I bought a bottle of BA Narwhal from TW McLean a few months ago. It was hidden on the back of the shelf.
