Sometimes I go into a store looking for one thing. If it is not there, I leave.

To the OP, there are plenty of "craftholes" on here alone - that customer may even be on BA. If I think a beer is good, that's all that matters. If you think a beer is good, that's your opinion. Makes the world a diverse place.

Yeah I agree with you. Should be a first come first serve basis. On a happy note the guy was still in the parking lot so I gave him 2 bottles at no charge.

Sure. I do that too, and so do most people. If I'm looking for something specific, I'll ask about it. If they don't have it I say have a good one and leave. If this is all that happens, I can virtually guarantee no one is getting bent out of shape. If however I get pissy about it and take the time to lecture them about their selection, I've absolutely crossed the line to douchebag. This issue is not complicated in any way. Cheers!

I just had a KBS, and I have to say that I think Big Bad Baptist just might be a better beer.

Today I gave a guy several recommendations. He wanted something local and not hoppy. After about 5 minutes he said that he actually doesn't mind hoppy if its really good and asked for the one hoppy beer I would recommend. I showed him 6 different Trillium beers and explained the difference between each one. He then told me the last hoppy beer he liked was Maine Dinner. I asked what he liked about it and he didnt really answer. I then showed him someother IPAs which he didn't buy. I'm not sure if he was just trying to brag that he had dinner or if he was fishing for that or some other almost impossible to get beer. Either way it was 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

I have to sadly disagree as I sit at the airport leaving Belgium after a beer trip I've dreaming of for years, almost every American beer fan\snob I met was a tool. To include the American tourist at Cantillon we met that said: "I don't even need this tour I know what's going on here." I am still in love with beer and always will be but the culture is turning into something awful. Only my opinion and I hope I am wrong or just happened to run into the wrong people.

At some point you may be like many of us, and have so much beer in the house you only buy the exact beer you want. You may even *gasp* have to ask a question of a store employee and take up three seconds of his time. I realize that if you add up all those 3 seconds of time it takes to answer questions, before you know it it adds up to a minute of time, or even more, but sometimes that minute will just have to get paid for by someone else's purchase.

Man if there was only some way you could get recompensed for that time. Oh, wait, you get a paycheck. Never mind.

Assholes wouldnt even exist if all people could accept diversity. It really is crazy how some people dont. That what makes everything so great. I could go down the street and drink a Japanese beer with greek food. Its awesome.

You should have gone deeper into Belgium were most of these "tools" go. Think Amsterdam, a great city to visit but you will run into some of the worst Americans there.

Last time I walked into Delirium Cafe there were three different "American" bachelor parties going on, go figure.

Craftholes, definitely my new favorite term for "that person," that makes you wanna get a million miles away from even saying the word craft.
