Public Service Announcement: We have discovered some Dark Fatha bottles that are out of spec with our standards and have decided to withdraw them from the market effective immediately. This pertains solely to Dark Fatha 2015. We barrel aged Dark Fatha and test it before packaging. While it passed our pre-packaging tests we are finding that some bottles that have been cellared or kept on warm shelves are now over-carbonated. In the interest of avoiding high levels of carbonation we suggest that you refrigerate them immediately. As your time permits, bring them into the taproom where we will exchange them for a beer credit. Bent Brewstillery has had great success with our bourbon barrel-aged stouts and we want you to enjoy them in the form they were intended. We are equally disappointed in the way Dark Fatha 2015 is cellaring and we are working diligently with beer scientists to find the root cause of the problem. We deeply appreciate your devotion to Bent Brewstillery and we thank you for your support.
Wonder what the sphb would think of fatha Mr England? Perhaps similar to the discouragement you've provided for years.
Whether people like Dark Fatha or not, I like the fact that a brewery is calling out a problem before someone else does. Props to Bent for this announcement and action.
