Your Favorite Summer Beers

    I noticed today at the store that the summer seasonals have hit my neck of the woods. Im under some kind of impression that summer ales are lemony (mostly because of sam adams summer and Narragansett summer) and honestly I've not ever heard anybody say "this so and so summer beer its really good" Personally i do get excited for one beers realease in that of Hell or High Watermelon and may pick up Brooklyn Summer soon to try out.

    So do any of you have a favorite summer seasonal or release you look foward to during the hot months?

    New Belgium has a new seasonal that just hit. Heavy Melon. It's a watermelon and lime ale. It's not bad. Maybe a little watery on the finish, but if you like watermelon beers...

    Last year I drank the heck out of victory's summer love. I am looking forward to it again and also this is the year of the pilsner! Everyone has one out. You can go crazy wild out there!

    Really enjoyed the Got to Gose in the recent Sam Adams summer variety pack I picked up. There was a hint of cucumber that just added to the tart and refreshing elements of the style. I can see myself crushing many out on the river this summer.

    I was tempted to buy this but I balked at the $12 price tag! Glad to hear it's tasty though


    My choice would be Bell's Oberon. I've been on a bit of a kick lately and now I understand why this beer is available year round in FL and AZ. Tasty beer.

    I really enjoyed AV's Briney Melon Gose

    SanTan Mr. Pineapple, Four Peaks Sunbru or Borderlands Prickly Pear Wheat are my favorite local favorites. Narragansett Summer is my favorite one from back home.

    I tried Lienenkugle's Beer Garten Tart Berliner weiss last week. It is fantastic!

    I like Union Old Pro Gose, though I'm guessing many around here haven't tried it.

    More interesting, it's a Gose and I'm not a big sour fan yet I like it...

    I usually drink quite a bit of wheat beer. Whether it be hefeweizens or just American pale wheat ales they are perfect for the season.

    I'm a new convert of Gose, and really like AV's Briney Melon and Stillwater's Gose Gone Wild.

    I've always been partial to Summer Love from Victory. Troegs Sunshine Pils is another great summer release. Hop Knife comes out during the tail end of summer, and it's one of Troegs best beers.

    Framinghamers and most of its variants are "Spring Seasonals".

    There summer seasonal is the "sunny ridge" Pilsner.

    I had Lagunitas Aunt Sally last night. Really enjoyed it and can see that going down well in the summer heat.
