I like all styles, and love variety. I would be very interested in any good local stuff my sender has access to in the less sexy British styles (Brown Ale, Mild, Bitter, English Pale Ale, Oatmeal Stout). I'm not quite a ticker, but I do like to try beers I haven't had before. That said, I'm sure I will be thrilled with any box sent regardless of novelty.

My "rated" list is up to date here on Beer Advocate; anything I have had since joining is there. I have been updating my "gots" over the past couple days to, in anticipation of this BIF.

The beers on my "wants" list here on Beer Advocate are the Canada Top 100 beers that i either have not had or don't already have in the cellar. I'd be thrilled with any of those for sure.

    Hint for target:
#1: You live about 20 minutes walk from where my dad worked for 26 years.
#2: You haven't listed your likes/wants/dislikes/etc. yet in this thread. If you like the style of beer that a brewery local to me will be releasing the day after the shipping window, I may ship a couple days late...

My wants are up to date, but I know there's some crazy stuff on there!

I'd really just be happy with some great beers that I haven't tried... Especially fresh (or cellerable) local stuff that I'd never see.

I've been working my way through the top 100 as well (and have a trade coming with quite a few that I haven't had), but I'll still be missing:

Great Lakes Karma Citra IPA (which isn't out)
Solstice D'hiver Réserve Spéciale En Fût De Bourbon
    Le Temps Noir
Barrel Full Of Monkeys Imperial Stout
Grande Cuvée Porter Baltique - Fûts De Bourbon Et Brandy
La Vache Folle Double IPA - Amarillo
    Amsterdam Barrel Aged Double Tempest
    Heartstopper

My target is east of BC... and although they've had quite a few brews, I've already got most of a box together!

Sorry BC but this box is heading East, South East actually but I'm sure CANBIF vets would've known this already:wink:

My target lives in a major city.

I like barrel-aged anything, especially if I can age it a while in the cellar. Other than barrel aged, my favorite styles in somewhat of a preferred (but constantly fluctuating) order are:
    porters
    belgian quads
    saisons
    stouts
    sours
    fresh IPAs, (especially citrus forward)

I do like pretty well anything (other than ginger beer), especially stuff that isn't distributed here in the west.

I have a small wants/gots list on my BA profile and a much bigger list on untapped under Cellar_Dweller

    To my sender,

We are all pretty much the same on here! IPAs, barley wines, old ales, saisons, stouts are all constants in my fridge. Not a fan of most lagers as I find they all mostly taste the same to my unrefined pallete.

You can check my untappd at ckoop for pretty much all of the beers I've had. Not the craziest ticker, so if you want to send something that I loved before I'd be stoked. I've added stuff to my "wants" recently, I'll try and think of more stuff to add. Mostly just from BC and Quebec though as I don't know much about the rest of our country's offerings.

    Hint for my target:
A lot of your wants on your BA page happen to be chilling in my cellar! A lot of them are small bottles though so I'm going to have to do some styrogineering.

Anyway, you appear to not live far from an island.

Hints 1 & 2 ... I'll be shipping way west to someone who has already posted in this thread.

To my sender, this will sound repetitive of what many are already saying, but I'm always happy to see (in no particular order) sours and wilds, imperial stouts, anything barrel aged, juicy IPAs, funky and fruity ... in general, I think I'm pretty easy to please. Really just looking for a variety of new stuff. If my shipper is west, that should not be too difficult. My wants are up to date, but largely Top 250 stuff - so don't knock yourself out; I'm happy with locals!

Hint 3 ... the box I'm packing appears to be lining up nicely with my target's preferences.

My wants and gots are up to date (On BA, Ratebeer and Untappd) but are mostly higher end stuff and I don't really expect to see them in my box. Only two types of beer I can't seem to like are smoked and spiced beer, so anything else is good to go! Also, I'm kind of a ticker, if I haven't already tried it, I'll be happy!

Hint #1: My target lives east of me.
Hint #2: In an NHL city

    Dear sender,
As it says in my profile, I am interested in a lot of styles of beer. These days it tends to be sours, saisons and IPAs as well as Belgian beers we can't get at the LCBO. Would love to try Cantillon, fresh tree house king Julius or heady topper.
Not a huge fan of wee heavy, pilsners, Czech style beers or lagers as much.
I'm in the learning phase. Looking forward to trying beers I can't get my hands on here. If it's not at the LCBO and/or available within a 300km radius chances are I haven't had it. Cheers and thanks in advance.

My box is going EAST to a well travelled palate from what I can see. Had to remove some preselected beers but I have a better idea of what treats I will forward.
    Cheers!

To my sender: My wants are somewhat out of date but I trust your judgement. I like sours, I like Barrels, I like Stouts, Lambics, Barrels - if you're looking for my hads list Kump may be able to point you to where it is.

To my target: As you have no reviews posted here I'm not entirely sure on what to send your way, but you have yet to post in this thread. To make things a bit more interesting, if you do NOT post in this thread within the next 10 days you WILL be receiving a Trafalgar or something equally as hideous.

    To my unlucky sender,

I am a very active ticker and am easy about style, although lagers and pilsners are not normally my thing. I would love stuff I haven't tried before, my list of ticks is up to date on the other site, and prefer things that are local and have limited or no distribution.

Hint #1 - This person lives in a border city east of me.

I've been redirected to the proper thread!

My initial research shows that my target has been in the game for a while! They seem to love stouts which works for me because some of my favourite stouts are brewed right down the road from me!

A bit about me - I travel most of the year with my band which has given me the fortunate opportunity to try plenty of amazing beers. That being said, there is a lot from Western Canada and Quebec that I often miss. My favourite style is definitely lambic, and if you have access to it, share the wealth! Someone once said to me something along the lines of "oh you seem to have a lot of lambic so I didn't send you any" to which I thought "Must you jest!? Never enough lambic!!". I love sours, funky saisons, juicy IPA's and barrel aged and coffee stouts. As for American beers, if you live in QC or the Maritimes and ever get down to VT, Mass or Maine, sign me up! Same goes with those out west that have access to beers from Seattle or Portland area. Can't get enough Hill Farmstead or de Garde right now!

My want list on here is pretty unreasonable, but feel free to lurk my hads on untappd to see what I'm missing.

I have yet to find more than a few ticks that my target has had, and my target doesn't seem to have much of an internet presence either. Hoping to be able to find more information so I'm sending an appropriate box that he will thoroughly enjoy.

As for myself, Stouts, IPA's, Saisons, anything with coffee in it, and Sours are my favourites. But I will drink most any style. Just not a fan of a few styles (grisette, session IPA's, brown ales). But if you think it's enjoyable, then I most likely will as well. I don't keep my ticks updated on here, but you can find me on Untappd https://untappd.com/user/VanJamer

Hello hello. The box I'm preparing is headed west, but not all the way west. Looking forward to shipping it out. I have a nice collection of local Ontario goodness coming out your way.

As for me personally, I'm pretty easy to buy for. Love sours, IPAs, stouts, etc. looking forward to receiving anything. Not too helpful I know. Take a look at what I've been drinking on untappd: msjpearson

    Thanks in advance!

Well it looks like my target is a challenge! I accept and will destroy their porch with the upmost disdain.

As for myself. I am game for mostly anything. Looking for good beer, if I haven't had it, if I have had it and loved it. I'm good. Preference is to IPA but love stouts and oddballs as well. Not a big coffee drinker so coffee stouts and smoked are sort of lost on me.

Haha what Billy said, I feel the same. I'm also in a band but definitely don't get to travel nearly as much as him.

Hint #1 You live near a river!

I think I will somewhat repeat the hints for myself I may have given on CANBIF before...

I have a reasonably small presence on this and other beer sites, although I do tend to regularly monitor them. I also have no formal updated cellar, nor do I review beers (not to say I don't have opinions :stuck_out_tongue:).
This said I'm sure it won't be as easy for my target to research my preferences so I'll leave some notes here:
    I like fresh IIPA's
I like saisons and farmhouse ales
    I like barrel aged anything
    I don't particularly enjoy barleywine
I have grown quite fond of sours

I am pretty easy to please, being that it is the spring I'm drinking more fresh and crisp beer.

HINT: My target has a posted online cellar that sways quite heavily to one style
