Best weather for DLD that I can remember. Absolutely perfect all day long.

 

We all got sun burn that year.

 

I'll risk that for good weather. I'd rather wear sunscreen than a rain suit.

 

Good. That was my first year. No where but up to go from there (I hope).

What's the consensus on hops for bottle shares? I'm relatively new beer trading/bottle share game and don't have a whole lot in the way of big stouts to bring (bringing BA Darkness, Big Bad Baptist, '16 Sucaba, & '15 BCBS). I am however planning on bringing some harder to find/limited distro NE hops (TH Very Hazy, Julius, Dopel, etc., MBC Dinner, and maybe some BB Swish, Heady, and/or Sip). Are people going to be interested in trying these types of beers or are most really just looking for other stouts/porters/barelywines?

 

I'm interested in trying those beers.

Bring on the good regional hops! I can't see people only wanting BA stouts all day. I know I'll be brings some IPAs and sours for a change of pace

 

I said this earlier in the thread, but you gotta consider that even if people are looking for your typical BA stout whales, your mouth gets real tired of drinking that shit all day. Even outside of an interest in those beers (and I'm a huge hop head, so those sound like a dream to me), it's a great change of pace from drinking 15% abv sips of tar.

 

I'm trying to strike a balance between stouts and IPA's/sours/saisons. I'll probably do about half stouts and half others.

Weather update.

 

Reading through all these posts listing copious amounts of beer folks are bringing to share, I'm predicting there will be a significant number of unused vouchers toward the end of the day - either strewn across the grounds or being pawned off for pennies on the dollar

 

11 days. Not counting though.

 

I'm drastically reducing what I normally bring specifically because of those vouchers. I will probably bring 4-5 bottles this year. Definitely want to use those vouchers...although I'm not sure how far they will go.

 

Interesting development today....apparently someone with the same name as myself is claiming that I received his tickets. We both had group D tickets. Mine appeared correct on delivery and my guess is that they saw the same name on two orders and cancelled one of them.

 

We haven't guess about the bands yet. Can we talk about the bands damnit!!!!
