Man that Tequilla Barrel is strange science. Bad more often than its good IMO... and the times I have liked it was with a golden or blonde... think it has always been a miss for me w/ stout.

Will likely sit this one out.

Gold print has traditionally been barrel aged. I don't think it's barrel aged, but I bet SDReaper knows.

Yes, that has been the traditional coloring but you can see that it says "Tequila Barrel-Aged" in the last picture posted.

Maybe it looked funky with the gold and color?

PNC, hands down the best tequilla-barrel aged beer I have had.

Agree they are hit and miss. Xocoveza Extra Anejo was pretty good.

Looking to hit the pick up on the Mexican Speedway and the MT bottles on BPT right now. Coming from AZ so I hope to pick them up at one fell swoop. Any insight on the release of Mexican Speedway would be greatly appreciated.

They haven't announced dates yet but the timeline between teasing a beer and releasing it is usually on the order of a few weeks. I'd expect to see it released by mid-May, if not a bit earlier.

I would think it would make sense to release it around Cinco de mayo.

If they release it on that day they should force you to pickup in person and answer why this day is considered important. Those that get it wrong get turned away.

It was low hanging fruit, and I just don't want to bite... It does make sense that this would be for sale or ready for pick up around Cinco de Mayo, but the Mexicans ultimately lost to the French at Puebla, so who knows.
