    Hey guys,
I'm just looking for some recommendations as to the best coffee style beers in the Denver area. I'm looking for darker styles, Stouts, Porters, etc. Any beer with a distinct coffee flavor would be preferred. Some help would be much appreciated!

Check out Copper Kettle here in SE Denver (may technically be Aurora).

    Comrade Koffee Kream
    Avery Tweak
    Mockery Imperial Coffee Stout
    Left Hand Hard Wired
Mountain Sun (Vine Street) Addiction Imperial Coffee Stout
Our Mutual Friend I think does one as their neighbors (Huckleberry) roast
Epic Big Bad Baptist (not strong coffee flavor tho)
    Great Divide Espresso Yeti
    ... there's not a lot.

@Prospero covered the bases pretty well.

Ratio does a Scotch Ale with coffee, Hold Steady, that is a little different.

One I would add that is not from Denver, but available here and worthy trying is, is Imperial Java Stout from Santa Fe Brewing.

Bull and Bush Genessee Coffee Stout is in bottles. It's pretty good, moderate ABV.
Might still be able to find Dry Dock Double Coffee Porter

River North Nightmare Fuel... Might be hard to find and a little on the older side now (drink coffee beers fresh!), but it was one of my faves last year.

Left Hand Bittersweet was also pretty fucking awesome, but similar situation as above.

Backcountry Breakfast stout was one of the best. Brewer went to Dry Dock....soooo keep an eye out for a DD coffee stout.

If you're ever in Boulder, Fate makes a pretty great Coffee IPA with local Ozo coffee. Probably my favorite of their offerings.

Oh, and Epic's Son of a Baptist was also quite tasty. Heavier on the coffee than its big brother (Big Bad Baptist).

Ballast point victory at sea is one of my favorites that is usually found commonly on most shelves. It does have a strong vanilla presence though! Great divide has the espresso yheti too which is awesome! Also they have avery's tweak which is 17% and super coffee !

As it was said before, Fate's Coffee IPA packs more coffee aroma and flavor than a lot of stouts and porters that I've had, but you have to get it on tap in Boulder. That being said, Tweak by Avery is by far your best bet for coffee flavor in a beer, and they distribute pretty well around the state.

It went on once a few months ago and it might have been the best coffee beer I've ever had...but it disappeared in like 72 hours. Hopefully they make more.

In the meantime, Comrade Koffee Kream and the B&B Genesee Mountain are wonderful as well. Nothing wrong with Sad Panda, either.

Snowbank Cranknbrew is a great coffee pale.
    Upslope Coffee Dubbel is interesting.

This has already covered all of my choices.

I was at Corvus for an education class last weekend and they mentioned some collaborations with Former Future. Has anyone had anything coffee related from them?

    I forgot two awesome ones....

Dry Dock's BA Double Coffee Porter
Twisted Pine Big Shot Expresso Stout (not that well rated here but has won GABF medals & WBC.)

I'll continue to pray for a Sweet Bloom collaboration.

If you're unfamiliar, it's easily the best roaster in Colorado, and truly one of the best in the country... and I'm more snobby about coffee than I am of beer.

Good call. Forgot all about those two, especially Espresso Shot. That one is wonderful.
I wonder if the D.D. Double Coffee Porter will get some tweaks based on who is brewing it now?
