CANBIF Spring 2016 - Hints & Hauls

To my sender, I love trying new local beers and great favorites. I really dig barrel aged beers. Smoked are my least favorite though I have only tried a few. I just really like getting a box of beers that another beer lover has selected!

Hint 1: I have no idea what your username means!

 

Wait a sec, packages are out already? this changes everything! If I ship on monday, my target will still be in the freshness window for the Auval DIPA and the just released today Auval IPA (better than the double IMO)

 

My box is going out on Monday as well. Out a ways. 11511511211821.

 

Hint: my target was hoping to get some bottles from a local brewery but it will be difficult as they are in the middle of a move. I will do my best.

 

Hint: target is not from ontario or quebec! that should narrow it down..

 

Hint #3: Ok, half of my Hint #2 was incorrect. My target had posted in this thread and has now posted twice. My target lives near a small place with the same name as a recently deceased rock icon.

 

Been drinking IPA's all night and living them. So to my sender, include some IPA'S.
Not sure what hint to give, he's a ticker?

 

Hint #4

Google maps tells me that were my target to visit the park closest to his or her home, he or she would be visiting a park that shares a name with a rather significant figure from Canadian political history.

 

Don't know what my target is looking for so I will include something for his other half. We are all so fortunate to get so many things we want/enjoy that I going to include something for the missus. My target is east of Ontario and has access to some fantastic seafood. Will see what I can send to pair.

Looking for barrel aged stouts, IPA's, thick 'n rich porters, good stouts and am willing to try a sour. Unusual is always nice. Nothing smoked please.

 

Hint #2 - It is a 33-34 hour drive from my house to my target's home.

To my sender - most of the things I try, I review. Sours are largely new territory for me, since they are not widely produced in my part of the world.

 

I'm hoping to send my package out this week, once my shipper comes back and I pick up another new release!

Hint #4: My target likes IPAs! (ROTFL?)

 

That must be me?

 

Thought I should finally participate on this thread, I would have done so earlier but I have been really busy. Anyways, my box is going west.

As for whomever has me for a target you can check out my untappd @ https://untappd.com/user/TheBeerHobo. I like most things, especially funky, sour things, or dry funky things... or fruity hoppy things... or good tasting fermented grain juice that is not an Irish Red Ale. Please don't send me an Irish Red Ale, we have enough of them in this Province.

Finally

Moncton isn't just a craft beer wasteland... that town is bleak.

 

On the bright side, NB Liquor is stepping up their game (growlers!) and we're only 30 minutes or so from an NSLC, too.

 

Final Hint - My target lives within spitting distance of both an international border and a city within a city ... and his/her box is going out TODAY with one particularly fresh local pickup.

 

I know one or two gentleman who live quite close to the border.

 

My box was dropped off at FedEx this morning, and my target should receive it Wednesday or Thursday. No creative hints to offer, sorry. You can all just bank on having like a 2% chance of receiving a box from me this week

 

Box is going out tomorrow.
