Most of the event information has been announced and there are 15 collaboration beers this year. There is also a blind IPA competition which is a first. Should be a great time.

According to the posts, No-Li got 14 votes the first day of the competition, when several of their employees came in, then only eight more until the next-to-last day, when they suddenly got 27 - an organized push, apparently.

Born and Raised is easy to pick out too. Darker SRM and more malt presence compared to all the others.

Why do you say that? Opinions on beer quality aside; they do a lot of good things for our community and have seen incredible momentum in the past two years. Last weekend, I saw some of their employees painting buildings on East Sprague to help clean up the area. They also do a ton for the craft beer community in Spokane. They host awesome events and have always been willing to help out the little guys.

I'm proud to have a brewery with such a large presence here and their company ethos is an added bonus.

I'm not 100% sure what happened in this IPA competition, but it wouldn't surprise me if some employees came in and voted for their beer. Maybe they are proud of who they work for and wanted to win. So what? Sure, it skews things a little but I don't think it reflects on the company as a whole in any way.

Well, it is a little tacky, at a minimum, if this was an organized effort from the brewery. If it was the employees acting independently, it's a bit less egregious.

I agree completely. But saying that someone can die (as said above) is a bit overboard, especially when we don't even know what happened.

No-Li isn't a person. I find their stuff to be mostly subpar. No love.

I'm thinking I'll have to get myself to the unveiling of the Iron Goat/Bale Breaker collab.

The blind IPA tasting looks cool too and you can go all week. I'll hit that up for sure.
