I never knew its "who farted" until someone else typed it like that. It went over my head for so long and im like oh cool hoof as in horses so that means mythology or animal spirits or something haha.

 

Evil Twin should win for the worst names- I love you with my stout (what???), Bozo Beer, Disco Beer, Ryan and the Beaster Bunny

Anderson Valley is next - Bahl Hornin Leeber Zeese Oatmeal Porter, Fuzzeeky Beljeem, Horse Tongue Wheat, Pinchy Jeek Barl

On second thought, Anderson Valley wins...just look at the names in their line-up

 

Stillwater: Vacuum. Yacht. Cellar Door. Projector. WTF?

Reminds me of an old Mitch Hedberg joke where he gets the job of naming kitchen appliances by adding an 'er to the end of what they do.

Most of the names are phrases in Boontling, a jargon/language native to the town that Anderson Valley is from.

 

I'm assuming it's called that because Cellar Door has often been cited as the most beautiful phrase in the English language, in terms of sound.

 

I'm really not a huge fan of hop pun names in general. Not a fan of really any Flying Dog name (mainly the "bitch"-centric names and the like).

I love the name Yacht! haha

 

Yeah I know, that doesn't make it better

 

I see it as making reference to where they're from, and the locals who support them, and it doesn't bother me. To each their own, though!

I'm the same way with Stillwater's new stuff, it's like "go to random page in dictionary, use first word"

 

That's my local spot. They make up for it by naming their saison: Surfing Waves of Dopamine.

To contribute to the thread... Mmm Hop, because it's created by Hanson and I hated that song, Mmm Bop. But with that being said, I do want to try it if I can find it.
