Worst beer names, ever.

sticking with the Brown Note theme I would say Chocolate Starfish. there are two.

 

Brown Note. I thought toilet humor was popular?

 

How. the. hell. did I not get this earlier?

 

i get a post-modern vibe from these names. Stereo. Surround. And the bottle art is consistent.

 

i will never buy a beer, no matter how good it may be, with a label like that.

Most of the beers named so far are actually some of my favorite because they are interesting/different. I'd have to say Heady Topper is probably one of the ultimate worst ever though.

I was just going to mention this.
I think "Beaver Stubble Stout" is probably the worst, but "wonder weiner wheat" and "potent peter IPA" are eye rolling.

Although "Amber was her stage name" makes me chuckle.
It took me 2 years to work up the nerve to visit them. Glad I did, the beer is actually pretty good.

 

Wow, I just read those. Makes Big Beaver look like child's play.

 

I hate Evil Genius's names. Almost all of them just seem to be quotes from movies, songs, or TV shows the brewers like, I assume? They don't say anything about what kind of beer it is, what to expect from it, and they feel like a lazy way to grab attention through pop culture. Stuff like "Stacy's Mom," "Shut Up, Meg," "I'll Have What She's Having"...they tell me nothing about the beer or the brewery. They're not even funny or clever, it's just piggy backing off other people's jokes.

By the same token, I'm sick of seeing hop related puns. Occasionally I'll see something okay that actually makes me chuckle a little, but most of the time it's just more tired laziness.

 

Are these just bait threads?

 

Same for me. Now that I know the truth, it's ruined and I'll never see it the same.

 

I don't believe it! Just the worst I have ever clapped my eyes on. Pure disbelief!!

 

I stopped in at their tasting room in Hill City. I tend to have a 7th grade sense of humor, but selecting a flight from this list had even me saying "oh come on". And you're right, the beer itself doesn't redeem them. Miner Brewing down the road however was a revelation.

 

Haywards 5000 always made smile. Made me think of RoboCop's nemesis or something like that.
