Adding a bit more here to the page count. Is one of these [1] and rubber boots enough to keep me in tip top shape through the day ? I doubt i'd want to be covering myself head to toe in rain gear but again I'm from the middle of Texas where aside from the past few months it has been a rarely seen event.

With the wind, you might want some waterproof pants as well. Jacket should be perfect.

 

Tap lists. When present, is there a way to know what's being tapped without standing around the pour tables? I always felt like people thought I was cutting when I was leaning in before getting in line to see what was on tap.

 

Nope. Whatever is on draft when it's your turn to order is what's available. It's what makes it exciting when something like CBS goes on the chalk board when you're close to the front.

 

I have seen some huge lists of beer people are bringing. Not just hard to get beers but the sheer number/weight of some of these is impressive.
My working list of bottles to bring to share is:

I might mix it up still but I wanted to make sure it would fit in my backpack, so I put those beers in the pack along with three water bottles that will be my ice. I know I'm not getting any younger, but damn that's a lot of weight. I think it will end up sitting in the pools of water at my feet, rather than adorning my back.
Anyone who wants to share I'll be wearing non-descript rain gear, but if its raining hard enough I have a big umbrella with a Union Pacific logo on it.

 

I finally broke down and bought some rain boots. I do love Amazon's 2 day shipping.

FYI. I contacted the Munster parks department this morning and was informed that parking at Centennial Park starts at
7:30 am and will be $20.

Yeah, now I'm thinking I need to have some sort of better pants than just jeans. Boots and coat are covered, but don't really want to stand around with wet jeans stuck to my legs all day.

 

Please wear your clear plastic pants.

 

Last year I wore thermals under waterproof hiking pants from Dick's. I was warm and dry all day (except my face and hands).

Morning looks ok.

 

Group E for the first time in 4 years (usually B). Thinking of arriving later but we're driving. Anyone have experience showing up at 1-2 and finding parking in centennial (or even the lots closer). Starting to get mildly concerned it won't work out.
