Yep its still around at certain places down here in L.A. Just seen some yesterday.

Ill be in San Diego on friday. I was hoping there may be a store which still has it. Anyone know of any? TIA

 

It is basically a slim to nil situation for you now. A few smaller unknown stores may have a couple laying around but the more well-known shops have been picked clean. Your best bet, and you will need a car for this, would be to call up the Bottlecraft shops and/or drive into PB and around there and see if Del Mesa has any left.

Otherwise IP trade. Bring those JK genie bottles and I can guarantee a Parabola will land in your lap.

This is unprecedented for me, so I'm taking it with a huge grain of salt, but my local costco claimed to know in advance what date Parabola was going to be arriving (5/1). The employee did say that it might arrive a day or two after that date. Which I'm assuming means it'll show up four days early, and I'll miss it entirely. Still seemed like info worth passing along.

 

Costco in the Sacramento area got it yesterday (roseville). 11.99 a bottle, supposedly got 10 cases, was gone by 6pm

So hard to find this year. I got very luck with one bottle at total wine, and one at bevmo. My usual bottle shops ran out as soon as they got them. I'm assuming they're reserving more for their retail outlets and less for distribution. I had an easier time finding KBS than this one.

 

Barrelworks had none available on Friday, employee said they had already sold out which is much quicker than previous years. But no telling what that actually means as FW holds back bottles to put on the shelves as they feel like it as everyone has seen with Parabajava.

 

Anyone seen parabola in Santa Barbara county?

Most places sold out pretty quickly (Bevmo, Albertsons). I got a bottle from Keg and Bottle in Isla Vista a week ago. They were keeping them in the back so you had to ask about it. They were selling them at an inflated rate price though ($20 I think). Other than that, you might have luck at the small liquor stores across the county they usually get good FW stuff and they sit for awhile. Haven't seen any at the Costco yet, but they did have Parabola last year so there's a chance they might get some in at some point.

 

They have it still at Beercraft in Rohnert Park. Saw it there last weekend. Beercraft is like 15 minutes south of Russian River.

 

Not if they do what they are doing at Venice by taking driver licences and reducing the limits. Yes, people could bring mules, but they can also do that under the current system at Venice.
I like how they are selling beer at venice, I just don't think they should hold any back like they have done.

 

I guess what we have here is a difference of opinion. But I'd like to read some more about the pros and cons of each method so I can decide for myself. Please continue.
