Right now they have the following on tap: Brun Brutus, Hop Beard, Elder Flora, Irish Table, Wood Goat, Micro Flora, Wild Flora, Baba Budan, Charleston Gold, and maybe Double Hop Beard? Can't remember. They also had 1-2 guest cider taps, and a guest tap from Brown Truck Brewery which was the #2 Pale Ale I believe.

Of course that's going to change between now and the second week of May. I'll try to remember to update this closer to your trip... or I just now see that Crim commented too, between the two of us we'll have you covered

 

They've been periodically posting tap lists on social media recently. It's nice because they show the descriptions for each beer.

I'm just hoping to get a bottle of anything when I am there.

 

I really like this new random release system theyve been doing for the grisettes and saisons. Plenty at the brewery, and even some making it to distribution. Obviously the next time they do a fruited Appalachian Wild Ale, we'll see how quickly people abandon their obligations and race to Morganton! I'm very pleased that I'm for sure getting bottles of Funk Fuzz with my State of Origin Ticket.

 

I was unable to spend the extra cash to get the Funk Fuzz ticket, but I am glad it will be served at the festival.

 

Yeah, gonna be interesting to see what happens when say that rasberry sour gets released. Hoping for at least a day's notice on that one so I can know when to get "sick."

 

I just wish that they opened at noon on Saturday. With my current work schedule, I'd need to leave FF at 2:30to make it in time, and they seem to be announcing the releases on Saturday mornings...I doubt the fruited stuff will survive the first day.

 

Well they've only done two of these silent ones so far right? Brun Brutus was on a Saturday, but BR&L was midweek. Were there any others?

 

I guess my memory failed me on brl. I think they released wren's Abruzzi and the second batch of bloody butcher this way as well.

 

Unsure of dates and days on those though.

They got the strawberries for it recently, but commented on IG that it wouldn't be released until around September.

 

Yep! We have to let that babe sit on those strawberries for a while so it will be on point. We still have several cases of Brun Brutus left. I highly recommend snagging a bottle if any of you come by in the next week. It's doubtful that this one will make it to distro.

Sucks about the Sal bottles, but I super appreciate the effort FF put in to explain the issue and them trying to come up with an adequate solution for everyone.

 

Anyone heard back from Fonta Flora regarding Sal? I'm very curious to see how they will handle the bottles. I do agree that their message on Facebook was upfront, informative, and honest. Really hope they find a way to continue making barrel aged stouts and sours at the new farmhouse.
