3Floyds has a special release today or Bloobs. It is a Blueberry Sour Ale. 750 ml bottle/$30

I thought it said 'boobs' at first.

I was all excited because I thought boobs were going to be released.

3 Floyds and sours is always a risky gamble imo, not sure i'd throw down $30 on that too easily

Was Pear Bear a risky Gamble? I have not run into anyone who did not enjoy that release.

A buddy shared a bottle of Chevalier Bertrand du Guesclin with me. Not sure how much that one cost or whether or not it was a special release but I thought that was a tasty beer. Bloobs, if only I lived close...

FFF sours are some of my favorites... Bertrand du Guesclin, Blo Splogels, Skull Ole, and Pear Bear are all incredible

You guys need to work on your old school FFF sours game.

    Biggs' 'stache
Chevalier (original release, not Bertrand du Guesclin)
    Bully Guppy
    SoBro (batch 1)

Those are why people are wary of FFF sours. (Biggs was actually ok. Batch 2 SoBro was better). They are getting much better at it now though. Pear Bear was very good. And the new Chevalier was also pretty good.

Interesting you mention Biggs', as I was looking through my cellar and found one (and a Cuvee de Viking) that has been forgotten about in the back. The reviews for Stache are not very favorable. I can't imagine it's gotten any better with age. I guess I'll bring it (or maybe both) to DLD tomorrow.

Welcome to Munster. It's all part of the 3 Floyds experience. It's not Normal.

I solo chugged a bottle of Biggs at DLD 2013 and it was decent.

Some people hated it, but I think after Bully Guppy some people assumed another FFF sour would be just as bad.

Add Big Tiddy Assassin too. Nice beer.

Also the new thing on tap tonight was good.. Icelandic Pants of the Dead. Hybrid sour ale with Brett IPA.

I'll be drinking the Bloobs in a few minutes so we'll see
