Cheers to @cavedave i got this idea from your counterpoint thread about a previous "words you hate" thread. We should get some positive vibes going with little things about beer that you love.....

    -i really enjoy "proper" glassware
-i like when red IPAs or red beers in general have a chocolate taste in the backround.
-the fruity flavor i get in aftertaste after many english style beers.
    -very fresh dry hopped stuff
    -I love coriander in beer
-And sharing a cooler of beers by the firepit

    Cheers.

I love that first scent of fruit and citrus that shoots out of the bottle or can the second one of our modern hop masterpieces gets opened. Good ones you can smell across the room. It sets my salivary glands into action and makes me anticipate that first delicious sip. Sometimes it smells so good I'd almost rather hold my nose in the glass and sniff rather than take that sip. Sooooooo aromatic and full of deliciousness.

    I love:

    - Watching the head develop
    - Different glassware for styles
    - The feeling when you ask at a shop or pub, "Do you guys have any _____ left?" And then they go get you some
    - Up to date tap and to-go listings on websites
    - When an aroma makes your head expand
    - Seeing an up and coming home state brewery start hitting bottle shops
    - When that trade package arrives safely with something you've always wanted
    - That squint face combined with a head nod when a beer meets or exceeds your standards

Just relaxing by myself with a good beer. I notice a lot of negativity in the US today (especially with politics), and that is one of the things that makes me feel good. Propping my feet up and sinking into my couch with something that wows me

Sorry for being the negative thread starter lately..lol. letting people vent is good, getting things off your chest is healthy and it's good for more long term positivity. I'm like a therapist. . A drunk therapist. There I pissed.

I like to make sarcastic comments...like were you trying to say you are livin' it up, or trying to liven it up?
Staying positive however, I like when I'm (pleasantly) surprised by a random location or beer that I had no expectations for. With sites like BA, that is rarer now, but still happens. Also, like @hophead7117 said, I love it when my kids walk in the house and say, "Ugggghh, what's that smell? Dad, are you brewing again?" I also love the look of my office mates when I'm explaining a beer I brought in for them to try, and they are like...dude, can I just f-ing drink it?

I'm fairly new to trying different styles of beer and craft beer. I love learning about them. And the research ain't bad either.

I have several friends that claimed to not enjoy beer and I loved that they liked me enough to educate them. I love the moment when it clicks. Showing people how diverse beer is. Most of the people in my circle hated bud light or their first "craft beer experience" was a hoppy beer and they were turned off. I love introducing friends to new styles they've never had and finding the first beer they fall in love with.

I love forgetting how awesome saisons on, and then remembering again every 4 or 6 months.

I love a Hefewiezen with brunch on Sunday.

I love supporting small businesses in my community.

I love he friendships I've made strictly through beer that turn into way more than than drinking buddies.

Most of all, I love that beer brings people together.

    • That first sniff of a new beer.
    • Lacing. Beautiful lacing.
    • Using the bullet feature on BA for the first time.
    • When a beer is unconventionally beautiful.
    • Drinking a beer in different glassware. Yeah it's more work to clean it, but I love seeing how my perception of the beer varies per the glass I'm drinking it out of.
    • Threads that are affirming rather than derogating.
    • Drinking a beer with a novel cap (I collect bottle caps)
    • Giving love to an underappreciated style.
