Anything I need to know or do? I am from the east coast and it will be my first time visiting. Super pumped.

    Really? Never would have guessed.

Get a sampler tray and make sure someone else is driving.

Now I know you're from the east coast - no one else cabs a mile .

Mmmm..the sampler tray and pliny bites.

Also don't be pushy, the sampler tray takes time..a good chunk of time.

Edit: Also yes, walk that mile. Santa Rosa is a very pretty town.

There should be plenty of Pliny, which will likely be 1 case (12 bottles) per person and half case of Blind Pig. You can eat if you sit outside. I didn't take the advice on Pliny Bites until my last visit. I often wonder how much better my life would have been had I just listened earlier...

Pretty ironic if you are from Philly. I just saw that Vinny from RR is at Monk's Cafe in Philly having lunch today, they just posted a pic on facebook a few minutes ago...lol..

Also if you mention you're traveling from the East Coast and request some Pliny the Younger, they might sell you a 3L 'tion bottle.

Is it possible to get like three bottles of Pliny so I can take it with me on the plane? A case might be tough.

Yes, limit is typically a case. So anywhere between 0 and limit per person.

And I didn't think they bottled younger....

Happy hour is also a bargain, even after what looks like a price increase in the last year or so.

You thought correctly. Don't worry, Younger hasn't been allowed togo in Growlers for at least 8 years I believe and it was never bottled.

If you are getting the sample you should be covered but don't sleep on the STS Pils - resist going right for the hops before at least trying STS

Get the aforementioned Pliny bites. There's nothing you need to know other than that there may be a wait at any point in the day. If you're in the mood for a great sandwich, you can go to Ike's nearby.

The meatball sub is money. If you are staying at the Courtyard, it's a fine walk.

You could still get public intoxication.

So my advice would be to travel south 2 1/2 hours and go to Sante Adarius Rustic Ales. Better beer. Better lines. Better vibe.
