I love the fine details put into some beer bottles and bottle caps. I found it really appealing that Ayinger places an illustration of their brewery on the cap!

    • That feeling when the rope/ribbon/gate/etc. opens up at a beer fest and you just look around trying to see which table you are going to go to for your first pour...
    • The way you can just become friends (or have a conversation) with any random person of any age, background at a beerfest or a brewery
    • Picking up a beer for a friend that they might not otherwise try/ be able to try

I love local bottle shops that will hold bottles for me :grinning: so I don't have to chase
I love getting a shiny new glass from a brewery and pouring an amazing beer from that brewery into it
I love sending surprise beer/swag mail to people or sending packages that exceed expectations and the recipient complains about the integrity of their porch
I love when a fruited sour smells like the fruit like DeGarde Apricot Gose
I love when a Stout gets smoother as it warms rather than boozier
I love when I get a craving for some fresh hops and I can scratch that itch
I love introducing people to craft beers that just blow their minds
I love making new beer friends and hooking up old friends

I concur with almost everything already mentioned, here are a couple of more.
I love meeting someone for the first time that I feel like I know because we've been conversing/trading beers on BA for years.
I love opening and enjoying the first beer of a vacation, then looking at the clock and seeing it is only 10:30 am. And thinking "what the hell, I'm on vacation", and opening another.

I love when I go out on a limb and try a brand new beer that I've never seen or heard of before, and don't bother to lookup, and then proceed to enjoy it tremendously.

I love pouring a beer I haven't had, taking the first sip and being surprised when it is amazing and memorable. Such as the first time i had Lagunitas Sucks the year it was first released and had no idea what it was.

I love going to the beer store and looking around. There are so few stores I actually enjoy going to these days, and going to the beer store reminds me of being a teenager excited to go to Best Buy for CDs and movies.

I'm not an artistic person. I can look at a painting and enjoy it, but I don't see the deeper meaning or have a great appreciation like some people. I also enjoy music, but I don't have a deep understanding for how it is constructed and how the pieces come together to make the music what it is.

Beer to me, is the greatest art because I understand it. And when those beautiful flavors burst out of the glass and attack your senses, leaving you with no other option than to take a sip. I love it.

And when that sip leaves you at a loss for words, and all you can do is smack your lips and say "wow," that to me is a masterpiece. I love it.

The first time I drank Alter Ego straight from the can it was a transcendent experience. I love it.

    - When the third one is better than the first.

    - When you get that first hit of a beer you immediately recognize as special; not unusual, not interesting, beyond good even. Special.

I love the way Bell's 30th Anniversary gets these little dropules of beer that skitter across the top of the foam head as I pour the last few drops. Any other beers that do this?

I really enjoy the smell in the empty bottle after it sits on the counter for a night.

I love complaining about beer and the people that buy/brew/sell/drink it

Only kidding, I am staying positive.

I like when you give someone a beer they never tried before and their reaction is "Holy shit! This is good!"

    -Watching the bubbles rise
-Trying to pick out which hop varieties a beer uses without looking it up
-Studying a beers packaging while sipping, akin to when I was a kid eating cereal and reading the box
-Smelling a familiar beer and taking in the feelings and memory of past experiences
-When the beer, mood, weather (the environment in general) all align for the perfect drinking experience

For some reason, reading a description to the effect of: "bursting with tropical, juicy, citrus, piney, etc. notes" NEVER gets old no matter how many times I read it or try another IPA.

The first thing that comes to mind is generosity, typically via trades (though I don't trade much anymore). I love being generous and I love when people are generous back to me, not because I necessarily want all the awesome extras (though I do), but it just makes me happy that a total stranger would be so nice to me.
