The more dogs and the less people the better!

I also tend to find that dogs are far better behaved than the children that many parents bring.

Most bars by me have policies against licking your own balls and sniffing buts. That keeps most of the dogs out.

I've been to many breweries where kids were welcome and I've never seen any problem at all. We've all either been kids, had kids, or both. Years ago, I often took my children to the old Red Oak Brew Pub at Guilford College, which they loved. They always behaved well, mostly, and everyone was always friendly and hospitable. Last weekend we took my daughter and her two boys (6 and 9) to Tyler's (bar/restaurant) in Carrboro and we all had a great time. I do not want to take my dogs to any bar, but I am not against the idea. None of this is really a very big deal. I just never knew dogs bothered some people so much. Over and out.

It's unfortunate, but it seems that everything bothers some people a great deal. Dogs, kids, various footwear ...

As long as they have an outdoor area where the dogs can be its fine but not indoors. I don't see restaurants allowing dogs inside I don't see how somewhere where you are drinking a beer should be any different.

Hope you bitches like my four massive, poorly trained pitbulls. I rescued them from DMX's house and now bring em to every crowded tap takeover, beer release and brewery tour. Just try to tell me I'm only allowed 2 cans! And by the way, your establishment can either be kid friendly or dog friendly, it WILL NOT be both, not with my pooches.

^to be fair his post went through a series of three edits (that I saw) and finally added the word "some" in his final draft. Makes you wonder... who is that sweet pooch that popped up in his head as the exception to his blanket statement

    First:
dogs are filthy animals and have no place around food or drink. How is this not a health code violation?

    Second:
dogs are filthy animals and have no place around food or drink. How is this not a health code violation? Plus they are fucking annoying if not PROPERLY trained

    Third:
Some dogs are filthy animals and have no place around food or drink. How is this not a health code violation? Plus they are fucking annoying if not PROPERLY trained

I don't have a problem with dogs at bars. In fact when I travel and leave my dogs behind with a dog sitter, I will often be at a dog friendly bar and ask someone if I can pet their dog as I tend to miss mine. When I do travel with my dogs it is great that I can stop at a brewery that allows dogs as this may be the only time I ever get a chance to try out their beer. My dogs are friendly and well behaved but I get that not everyone loves dogs and that is cool (however dogs are a great way to meet people and start up a conversation I know a few people who have gotten dates from bringing their dogs out with them). I would rather sit next to a dog and their owner than some loudmouth drunk using the f word in every other sentence. Just my opinion,

I like dogs and the thought of having a few beers, getting a little mellow and having some new friends nuzzle up and say hi doesn't sound like a bad time at all. Why a bar owner on the other hand would want the extra complications that must come along with this is another matter entirely.

Dogs are one of the things I look forward to when visiting Jester King.

And there's always a chance the farmhouse kitty will make an appearance:

I'm very sorry for you loss. Dogs are a true blessing. They provide an example of unconditional love that is sorely needed in this world. You'll never forget your Shepherd but I hope you acquire a new dog.

This thread reminds me of the dive bar i used to frequent in my younger years in Montreal. The place was absolutely filthy and one of the bartenders had a giant, stinky, unkempt rottweiler that would actually sleep on the bar most nights. Every now and again he'd get up and move around a bit and you'd have to grab your beer so that he wouldn't knock it over. The bartender would yell at him, and he'd stop, stare and then slowly meander back to his spot on the bar. The best part was that it never seemed to faze anyone!

I think that half the reason i went to the place was because the situation was so preposterous. Well, that and the fact they sold $6 32 ounce pitchers of Boreale Noire stout.

So I had an addition to my comment. Why the hell do you think the edit function is there. Pretty weak attempt discredit my opinion just because I don't like dirty dogs around my food. I added 'some' because some, not most people have the ability to train and maintain a clean and obedient dog. I have a feeling which group you fall into. You are a great person

I had to edit this one too...damn auto correct
