Tree House Brewing Company (May 2016)

Alter Ego and Very Hazy are my two favorite offerings from Tree House. I haven't tried the King Julius, Very Green or Juice Machine yet though. I'm not sure why people get aggravated with posts about beer on a beer forum. There are constantly new people showing up to talk about beer which is why a lot of the same topics keep coming up. If you're aggravated just relax, have a beer and ignore them. Someone else will answer their questions.

 

Spoiler alert: Tree House will release some of the best beer you can acquire on this planet, just like every other week.

 

I think people just get worked up because it takes a ton of effort for most of us to get up there. I'm planing a trip up to Monson on Thursday so I'm watching everything very closely and gossiping like a teenager in hopes of getting the best possible outcome for my 7 hour round trip drive up there.

 

Call me crazy but I'd rather get a dozen cans of something like eureka than 2/3 of KJ or VH.

Haze is back baby! They have been pretty consistent since the beginning of the year with a Haze release every other week. Anyone hear any news regarding the Anniversary party?

 

I feel the same way. The core lineup contains some much more balanced and easy drinking beers.

The IIPAs are fun to see how they can push the limits on the beautifully crafted (IMO perfect--or as close to it) core beers, but they can be over the top sometimes. This is of course in a good way because it's mostly the same flavor just enhanced, but they do lose their balance and drinkability.

I'm realizing this as I make my way through the six Doppelgangers I got last week. When the limits are 2-3, you savor each one and treat it as the eye-opening experience it is, but when you all of a sudden have twice as many, you realize that it would be more enjoyable overall to drink six AEs instead.

 

Or don't fill it with useless drivel.

This thread used to be somewhat useful or interesting.

Now it's mostly people treating it like their diary, announcing their wishes for King Julius and Juice Machine and Very King Juice Machine when A) Tree House doesn't have a release schedule, they just announce what they're selling the day of, and B) No one cares.

 

This thread hasn't really changed for a long time. There's still plenty of useful info and yes some more new people hoping for the rare beers, but it's far from unbearable....

 

It's been the same lame thread for a while, but I finally felt compelled to say something.

 

The only thing more lame than reading a post that you don't care about is reading a post that you don't care about, about a post that you don't care about...lol. Get over yourself!

No nerve was struck. I'm just pointing out that the lameness comes from people posting that the thread is lame rather contributing to some useful topic. If you think it's lame skip over it and post something that's not lame. Thanks for your permission to post to my diary in here though.
