Just looked at Untappd for check-ins with pictures. Either the head quickly dicipates, or there is zero carbonation, but looks like straight up orange juice in a few pictures I saw...

Not into.still ipas. Ill I'll pass till they figure that out. Especially at that price.starting to get sick of the treehouse, fruity, tropical ipas. been.drinking them for years and.im.leaning back toward the more bitter, piney, dank side myself. Blasphemy !

while it's true that there's little to no head, there is noticeable carbonation to the mouthfeel. It's not a pronounced carbonation by any means. Mouthfeel is pretty soft overall. It has a pretty great nose, lots of citrus. not so orange-y/mango-y as it is tangerine and then ultimately grapefruit. I get a lot of grapefruit. The taste is much much more bitter than Julius, not as fruity by a long shot. Julius almost tastes like there's little to no bittering hops in the kettle but trailblazer has a lot of bitterness to it. It's pretty "dank" too.

I finally cracked mine. I think it's really good. Agree with above that there is no head but doesn't taste thin. Definitely more of a bite than any TH beer.

Any chance I'll find this in stores when I'm down in CT on Saturday?

Doubtful. Not much was distributed to stores. Some are getting 1 case or even less. But you might get lucky because some stores are price gouging (saw one example of $5.99 per can!) and some people are bypassing at that price.

Anyone in the Cromwell area heading down to get cans tomorrow? Looking to buy or trade for 2 or 3 cans. Thanks.

Just a heads up... I'd delete this before you get a warning. They'll slap you with one for just about anything around here

A lot of pople are bypassing it because they don't want to drink green sludge too :/

I landed 2 cans through a trade and it's easily the most thick and chalky IPA I've ever had. For me it's gone a little overboard and lost the balance. All aboard the juice train though.

The giant green snot in the can I had, was interesting.

I tried Trailblazer this weekend. It is more sludgy than I like, but ok. Aroma was nice and the flavor was very juicy up front. It has a long lasting astringent bitterness on the back end. I find it to be very similar to beers I get from Steady Habit. I would buy it here and there, but the price is definitely a bit much. Overall, it's a good NE IPA, but not on a world class level.

They said they cold crashed it for 3 more days this time but I've got too much good beer in the fridge atm to feel the need to potentially waste money on that.

Christ, we've had thick, chalky, sludgy, and snot used to describe this beer. IPA drinkers/consumers are in such a weird mindset these days. Willing to overlook serious flaws for a good nose and tasty couple of sips before the flaws become apparent. I haven't had this beer (and probably won't at those prices) but I just can't wrap my head around this.

If I hadn't had work during the release (cause they've been doing a 12pm to 6pm release and doing it on weekdays) I'd have probably ended up wasting some money it. Ugh.

Am interested to see if they've managed to work this issue out, but will probably wait and see what other people think of the next few batches before trying it.
