off topic, but do you guys bring a DD or drive all that way for one glass of beer and then drive all the way back? I mean, I'd love to try MD but, I can't justify driving out there for one drink, or trying to find a hotel in the middle of the work week.

 

If one glass of MD requires a hotel, then I don't know what to tell you. I am assuming you are meaning that you'd want to drink everything else they have?

But no, I wouldn't drive out to drink something on tap, especially since I am 2.5 hours away.

Ha, I knew it would come across that way but I couldn't think of another way to word it. I was truly curious if people made the long drive for 1, or two drinks.

 

Few drinks including MD and a case of Sosus seem like a good enough reason to drive 6 hours round trip....

 

Plus the new DIPA....

 

I'd make the drive if I didn't have to be at work. I'd probably make the drive after work too but I'm guessing they'll be out by 730 (when I could be there)

 

"The Man" has me stuck too. I've been wanting to drive down to TG since I joined BA but in my head it's a weekend day trip, not an afterwork type of deal (because of where I live). I keep trying to plan it around some sore of bottle release, like Sosus, but they never seem to last until Saturday

 

Yes "The Man" has most of us stuck that's for sure.
I did however drive down to TG after work once from the Twin Cities but that was for the silent gold wax Assassin release.

 

Who has had Scorpius? Is it truly a NE style juicy hazy bomb? That is what a lot of checkins say on Untappd, so I am curious if y'all agree. Is it approaching Tree House/Trillium level?

It certainly looks like a Trillium/Tree House beer. I didn't think it was quite as "juicy" as the New England IPAs, but it's very good.

 

If someone goes there this weekend and Sosus is already gone, I will give you a couple bombers for a growler of Scorpius... Just sayin! I live in Roch, but can't make the short trek down again myself until it will probably be too late.

 

TG does the half pint pours which allows you to try a couple extra beers if you are working on a limit of 3 pints or so. I went to TG in December to try 4-6 varieties (I don't like flights as 4oz isn't enough for me to make up my mind) and then bring home a bunch of stuff.
