It's a 500ml bottle. But I also don't see how it's a low haul. 16 AGE alone is a good 2-week supply of beer right there. Unless you plan on trading a bunch of it?

Duh. Sorry, should have read closer.

Well this all sounds great, collab or not. See you all in line.

So $5 per 16 oz. can of an ~11% IPA vs $12 per 16.9 oz. bottle of table beer.

Beer Table is killing us even at Other Half itself, lol.

Seriously FUCK Beer Table. I hope you guys realize these are the same asshats who price-gouge every Grimm release.

Correct me if I am wrong but I checked and believe this is the first single can release since March 14, 2015 when it was Batch 2 of Green Diamond cans.

Either something went wrong with Tired Hands Omnipollo collab or they are trolling us and purposely not announcing it until Saturday morning so they dont have to deal with the shit show.

And while I'm at it, kinda-sorta-fuck Other Half, too.

Their shit is way overpriced. AGE is good, granted. I'm cool paying $5 per pint, I guess.

A 16.9 oz bottle of some weak-ass table beer for $4 MORE than Maine Beer charges for Dinner...give me a break.

They also rip people off on the growler fills. Check Beer Menus for places filling AGE and you'll easily find it for less than the actual brewery charges...which is a joke and a half.

    Rant over.

Ha, they price gouge every release of everything. It's been rehashed a ton of times on here, but it's best to treat them as essentially a "bar" in Grand Central to buy beers for the train. I'm sure their rent is astronomical, and Grimm themselves mentioned in one of their threads that they felt the prices were more-or-less justified given Beer Table's location and clientele.

Shhhh. Theories like this will ensure that whalezcrew arrives at 4am.

Lol if the release stays as advertised there's ZERO reason to line up for this. You can easily swing by in the afternoon and get whatever you want.

Their bottle prices in general have been pretty high. Regular In Absentia Luci was $12 per 500ml and Rum BA IAL was $18 per 500ml. I think they know once some people see a bottle bigger than 12 ounces they automatically assume it's a "bomber" and therefore the high price is justified when in reality you're getting almost the exact same thing as a 16oz can.

which is just so, so stupid.

honestly between beer table's fuckboyism and other half's own price gouging i honestly hope no one buys that beer. it will never happen but i can dream.

Yea, I'm done buying OH's stouts for that price, the quality just isn't there for that price point (at least for my taste). I will always reconsider if they up their stout game, but I've consistently been disappointed by the ones I've had. I do like their farmhouse beers more than the stouts, but I'm not sure I $12 like them.

Am I the only one that things $12 isn't a lot for that? There are so many more expensive farmhouses out there.

16 cans is a 2 week supply? Bless you Berto.

Seriously I have a wife that can put back as many as I can...a four pack would go down EASY in a single session for us (followed by something else, most likely).

    Apples/Oranges.

    1) Oxbows are 750ML; this Table Beer thing is 500ML.

    2) We're talking about buying at the actual brewer. Oxbow's farmhouse 750 ML retails for $8 per bottle at their location. I just asked them.

    3) Of course they're more expensive in NYC...they have to ship and distribute down here.

Other half has no excuse for charging $12 for 500ml of a Table Beer (with a super SUPER lazy label, btw...but that's beside the point) they made in-house that nobody asked for.
