    Has anyone heard anything about the barleywine they put in barrels back in I believe Dec. of 2014? Not sure if it was infected and they dumped it or they are doing a 2-3 year age...Asked a few times via social media with no response so just wanted to see if anyone else has any inside knowledge.

    I know that they did dump a batch of a barley wine a while back because it wasn't up to snuff a long time ago. It was their most expensive dump to date. I'm not sure that is the same batch but i suspect that it is.

    Omg. Best exchange on Midwest BA in awhile. Perpetual smartass meets someone who doesn't yet realize they are a perpetual smartass. Perpetual smartass then doesn't realize the other person doesn't realize this. So delicious.

    Oh my God...Scanners. I haven't thought about that movie in...decades. It also rather unfortunately brings me back to my old Budweiser, Pabst, Miller Clear, Hamms, Old Style, Olympia, Mickeys Big Mouth, Moosehead or whatever I could get my hands on drinking days.

    I guess to make this relevent - has anyone found out anything further on the Dangerous Man/Surly Blutpakt or whatever the hell they are calling it collaboration? It would be neat if Surly canned whatever it is they are brewing together or if that's what it even is.

    Or has there been any word on any upcoming Dangerous Man bottle releases?

    I know they have the Peanut Butter Porter in a wine barrel right now. I forget what else is going on though.

    I really like their Peanut Butter Porter. But in wine barrels? Sounds horrible.

    Agreed. I don't think I'd like it in whiskey barrels, let alone wine. This sounds putrid.

    I also really like the regular PB Porter.
